My partner and I have been going here for a couple years. But, it has been a while since our last visit as we were overseas. Yesterday, we stopped in for some coffee and light entrees.
The quality of the food and drink was very good. We order bruschetta and olives. The bruschetta was perfectly toasted with a very nice tomato base on top. There was also a generous portion of good quality olive oil that was sprinkled over the top. The coffees were also very tasty. We ordered an espresso and latte macchiatto that were perfect temperature and great flavour espresso.
The service was also very friendly and attentive. I believe for all four espresso drinks and two entrees plus 'trinkgeld'. The bill came to 20 euros. Not bad at all. Like I said before, we have visited quite a few times and for an entree, 2 mains, a dessert, drinks (wine and beer) and coffees afterwards, the bill was never over 45 euros. Very good value for service and quality of food.
My only criticism has nothing to do with the service or food but with, ironically, the ambience. The main dining area is in a round room and it gets loud and also feels awkward (no feeling at all just). If you get a chance I would choose to eat in the side dining area behind the curtain or ,weather depending, then I would go outside. If you come for coffee and cake, then eat in the front lounge area. The ambience in these areas is much more inviting.
