I chose this place at random as I had some time before my flight out of FRA. The service was polite and fast. They spoke English - which was very helpful since I speak no German. I ordered the Farmer's Schnizle which was the best (out of three schnizles - dont ask- this week) by far. Cooked just right, not overcooked and tough but tender and flavorful. The potatoes were fantastic and, of course, the Weisebier was great. Nice outdoor patio if weather permits. No credit card unless you spend 50 Euro. I spent 20 for the above with coffee.

Went with approx 20 colleagues from across Europe and USA, all with different tastes. The food was great. Big portions and very tasty. Service was good. All the food arrived at the same time. No one was waiting. Quite a feat for a table of 20+.
Recommended.

There were nine in our party (a mix of American and European colleagues), and we arrived unannounced around 7:30pm. We requested to sit outside, and were immediately accommodated. The servers did their best to keep our wine and water filled.

The food was fresh and wonderful! The seasonal Pfifferlinge mushrooms were used in several dishes very well. The sauces, the appetizers, and the chocolate cake with molten chocolate in the middle were all excellent. We finished the evening with a good grappa and the bill was taken care of quickly.

Overall, the service and food at Frankfurter Haus were both fantastic, a great German-style restaurant. We will definitely be going back again.

During a transit in FRA, I like going to a typical German restaurant close to the airport. This one has long been a favourite locally, but my friends say it is not that respected anymore. The service was crap already some years ago, but at least the food used to be good. Now, all is bad! The parking lot lady who tells you where (and worse how) to park may be traditional there, but the last thing you need is a rude attitude. Inside, staff is even worse: unfriendly, the food just nothing special at finally... you can't pay with a creditcard if you didn't spend more than 40 Euros. Pretty stupid if you've just arrived from the US and intend to continue to Asia a few hours later. In short, forget this one and drive a little further !
