We stayed in the Hotel Schwanstein, which is what this restaurant is a part of, and decided to have dinner there in the evening.
A pint of beer is cheaper than a pint of any soft drinks all over Germany, and this place was no exception.
Food was nice and portions HUGE. Seriously huge. My husband had some kind of pork steak with fried potato slices and lots of salad. I had the Burgunder beef on a mound of red cabbage, in a sea of sauce with two tennisball-sized dumplings (Semmelknödeln) on the side. I could just about manage one of them, but definitely not both!
We wanted to try some dessert, but we were too full. Five hours later, we were still too full. It was nice and flavourful food, though, and friendly service.
