“Beautiful location - go there in the afternoons to see inside”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2012

We drove past the church in the early afternoon. It is quite beautiful, standing by itself with green meadows around, and the castles and mountains behind.

We were disappointed that the door was firmly locked - from what we could make out the church is only open between 2.30 and 4.30pm.

“The 2012 is the 1000 Jahre Coloman celebration”

The church is surrounded by a farmland, along the road to Ludwig Castel. It's in Schwangau, a city near Fussen in Baviera Land (Germany).

“desolate and nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2010

Standing desolate in a meadow, it is a beautifull sight. Mulpitple benches, a perfect picknickspot, and close to castle Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The interiour was closed and opened only on 17th of April, too late for our holiday in the area. But one can peep through a small window to have some idea. A statue of St. Koloman is placed at a fountain. I have seen this church in winter- as well as in summerseason, and in no season it looses any of it's beauty.
