“Well Worth It”

Wow! What a view. We did opt to walk down and should have planned better for that (wrong shoes - needed more water), but it was a remarkable time.

“Sky Ride”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

After a steep climb upto the top of this hill, had a couple of beers and a sausage at the lovely restaurant and had some amazing views and pictures of Schliersee Lake and town. Came down in the sledge slide but the ropeway (cable car) is very good for the elderly and very young children

“Awesome”
Reviewed December 28, 2012 via mobile

Planned on sledding down the mountain, but too much rain cancelled that plan. So, we took the tram up and let the kids play in the snow at the top and had a bite to eat. The staff was very nice and spoke English. I had the best homemade potato soup with bacon and a beer. Both were fabulous. The kids had the apple strudel and dare I say was the best I have ever had. Pretty big piece and might be able to share, but once you take your first bite you will probably be ordering another so order 2 and save time. Highly recommend. We did not have a view, because it was snowing really hard and windy.

“top of the world!!!”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

Took the tram up and the views were breathtaking. Went to the panoramic restaurant and had delicious struedal and great conversation with our waiter. Walked up to the quaint church on the hill and heard all the cowbells before seeing the cows! Decided to walk down the mountain. Beautiful walk that took about 1 hr and 45 min. Beautiful afternoon!

“You've Never Been Sledding Like This Before!”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Over 3 miles of non-stop sledding...whoa!

We brought our 2 kids, ages 2 and 4, down the mountain with us and they loved it! But leave your plastic sleds at home and rent the wood sleds at the mountain for 5 Euro for all day. We brought our plastic sled with steering and brake capability and it was useless! The steep slopes and many curves make it very difficult to control any other sled than the ones provided.

Kids ages 6 and below are free and the cost for 2 ascends was 17 euro! Well worth it since it takes 30-45 minutes to go down the mountain one time (round trip with gondola take about one hour for one run). And don't miss the one hot chocolate stand about a quarter of the way down the mountain. There is only one so don't forget to stop.

Be on the watch out for run-away sleds though as some bumps make you lose the sled beneath you. I recommend kids wear helmets as a precaution.
