We stayed one night during a cycling holiday. Our room faced the lake and (thanks to some stunning spring weather) the view was spectacular. The room was very stylish, well-appointed and clean. We received a warm and professional welcome from the gentleman who checked us in and good service throughout. We can also highly recommend the hotel restaurant.

Room Tip: Request a lake facing room.

The renovation was nicely executed. The rooms feels "fresh" and modern. The linens were high quality and the service was very friendly and we were happy they accept pets. The location is ideal. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel was surprising in that despite being centrally located right by the town center, it was also very spacious, and had been recently renovated. The lobby and rooms were clean and modern, the back patio was very nice. My room had a partial view of the lake (and the Promenadenfest fireworks as it turned out). And despite my staying during the local festival, the hotel still had ample free parking for both my car and bicycle. Top it off with friendly and helpful reception staff, and this hotel is a winner. The only caveat is that the room I stayed in did not have A/C, which would have been nice for my stay in July, however the large windows opened wide so that the room was still relatively cool with cross-ventilation.

Room Tip: Try to get a high floor room with a lake view.

This hotel is located perfectly, on the edge of Lake Constance (Bodensee).
Rooms are smartly decorated, very clean, comfortable and quiet.
Rooms are available on the lake-facing side (also facing the beautifully tended gardens) and also on the road-facing side. Uberlingen is quiet (very quiet in the off-season) so the road-facing rooms are not noisy.
Staff are extremely professional and friendly.
The breakfasts are absolutely superb. Fresh, well presented and great choice.
The bar and evening restaurant service are excellent but there is also a great choice of local restaurants too (I recommend the "Spitalkeller im Steinhaus" restaurant, just a few minutes walk from the hotel).
I've stayed here 4-5 times on business and would happily continue to go back.

Lovely, clean hotel backing onto the Lake with private parking a couple of minutes walk from hotel. We stopped for a couple of nights as part of a large group, Our rooms did overlook the road which was quite noisy on a night so maybe paying extra for a Lake view would be worthwhile and I imagine the views would be lovely. It was quite warm whilst we were there and having to shut the windows on a night wasn't good.
The rooms were large and clean, beds comfortable. We were slightly disappointed the hotel restaurant was closed on both nights we were there but its only a 5 minute walk to the many restaurants on the lake side. One morning we had breakfast on the terrace, which was very nice. Uberlingen is gorgeous and a place a think we'll be returning to for a longer stay and most probably to this hotel

Room Tip: If you can afford it go for a Lake view

This place is perfect, but please be aware of the minor issues for which you may want to plan ahead. The wifi coverage the hotel offers for purchase frustrated us for four days as it was extremely intermittent. The only way to use the internet without is to use the one and only available computer in the lobby. Also, please pack your own toiletries as the miniscule one soap/shampoo container is the only toiletry item that the hotel provides. (There is a Mueller variety store close by the hotel where you can purchase anything you might need.) Be forewarned on these two issues and you will not be disappointed!

Everything about our 4-day stay here was otherwise perfect. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious, elegantly yet casually decorated, comfortable and very clean. Location is everything as this venue is located on the promenade yet away from the hussle-bussle so it’s quiet, yet completely convenient. The sea-side view is breathtaking. The dining-room staff and breakfast food selections and menu options for both dinner and breakfast are ample and well-prepared. Parking is conveniently located.

Room Tip: spend the extra money to get a room with a view

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. Stepping out the front of the hotel and turning right leads you right into the center of town. Everything is in easy walking distance of the hotel. Just a block away is a Muller department store (like a mini Wal-mart) for toiletries, snacks, toys, kitchenware, stationary, etc. There is a small Christmas market in the center of town mid December. The hotel served an excellent , wide variety buffet breakfast with fine linens and china and staff was courteous and never rushed you if you chose to linger. The lobby and restaurant was decorated for Christmas and there is a small selection of giftware, excellent priced in the lobby, with items I did not view anywhere else in the town. The grounds are lovely (although it was winter when we were there) and there are walking paths along the waterfront for miles at the rear of the hotel. Parking is a free of charge a short walk from the lobby (not the most convenient with luggage). Staff were very friendly with an excellent knowledge of English and allowed us to stay past our check out time for our convenience. There are french doors that open in your rooms but could use a good cleaning. The bathroom was a good size with shower stall (just the beginnings of some grout/mold issues); otherwise was spotless. There was no vanity countertop in our bathroom which would have been helpful. The carpet and chairs were a bit worn for wear; closets were a generous size. There is a separate building which we had reservations for (closer to the water); however, upon check-in we were given a room in the main building. This is far more convenient for the breakfast/restaurant/lobby in the colder winter months as you have to walk outside to get to the main building. We would definnitely stay here again. My only minor complaint is that there was never staff offering to help with luggage which was tricky when managing the two large doors and step at the entrance by yourself. There is a glass elevator once you are inside. Uberlingen is a wonderful, quaint town with excellent restaurants and I imagine extremely busy in the summer months. If you ask for a room on the back side (water side) you have wonderful views; the hotel was extremely quiet during our stay; this may not be the case in high season.
