“Beautiful Hotel”

Beautiful hotel with friendly helpful staff, a lovely room and gourmet buffet breakfast. Only stayed 1 night but if we had more time could certainly have stayed longer. Would recommend this great little lakeside resort as excellent value with plenty of free parking.

This hotel has great children facilities , even in it's great restaurant there is a place where children can play, while the parents are eating the best food in Titisee. We would recommend this place to everybody.

we are mother and two daughters traveling together every year to a different area in Europe. we have never encountered such an insensitive attitude by the hotel management .we requested expicitly for a room with a view to the lake. in reality, we had to bend over the balcony to see the view. the weather was very hot, and the room was stifling. there were no fans in the hotel and there was no tendency to provide one.
we had no intention to stand this accommodations for three days. we were very tired after a long journey. We wernt even offered a glass of water during the long minutes of waiting for a appropriate solution. the formal ansswer was " sorry, we are fully booked".
other accommodation in the area requested by us from this hotel where higher significantly. the manager of the hotel, refused to apologize for the distress caused to us. we left the hotel to look for available accommodation at nearby villages. we missed the opportunity of enjoying titiisee lake. thats a shame, this is not an appropriate way to treat a tourists!!

Charme of the 70's in the old FRG, everything in brown, everything dark.
No amenities, no mirror in room, bathroom what the Germans call "Waschzelle", personal at the reception with the charme of prison guards.
The relation between what you pay and what you get for is absolutely wrong. 150 € (more than 200 US-$) gets you a much better hotel everywhere in the States, and even in the overpriced region of the Titisee you can get better hotels for less.

Great food - delicious 5-course menu with half-board. Friendly, helpful staff, perfect location, spacious rooms (even the single room). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

I came to Tititsee without reservations, and chose to spend one night at Brugger Hotel.

Well, from the ouside the hotel looks already a bit old fashioned, somehow 70's style structure. Too much concrete and no wood for my romantic taste, but my girlfriend was tired and did not want to look further for other hotels.

So we accepted to stay at one room (not the lake-view, but the side-view on a nice meadow) which was again to my taste nothing special. A big room, yes, with a sofa, but lacking charme, and charme for me is everything...

So we slept (mattress not that comfortable, anyway) and next morning we went down to the breakfast room, a huge hall full of tables and with three extra tables for the buffet... well it took me at least 20 minutes before I could serve myself and be able to finally sit down and having breakfast... why? Because these three buffet tables were not close to each other, and I had to make 5 trips from the buffet to my table and vice-versa, before being able to start eating. Besides, it was 9.30 am and most of the food was almost finished, with me having to find a waiter in that huge hall to ask for ham, orange juice and joghurt... and glass were over too, so I had to ask for one... I was really starting getting impatient... (and notice that it was low-season, with only a few guests...)

Then the check-out was also a moment I would not remember with pleasure for some reasons, first of all because of the coldness and seriousness of the receptionist behind the desk and also because of the huge, empty and silent lobby of the hotel itself, which gave me a sense of sadness and emptiness... I was just longing to be out of that place...

We came into Titisee without reservations. We stopped at one hotel which was full. They called the Brugger and we received a lakeview room for about €125.

The room was very large and the hotel spacious.

Breakfast was excellent, especially overlooking the lake.
