“Nice room very clean and efficiency”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2014

Room with living room very comfortable and clean, we were very pleasantly surprised! And
the bathroom is also very large. The breakfast in the morning is good and plentiful, served personally by the owner polite and careful to make everything perfect

We were made to feel so welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is idyliic and the view from our baclony - stunning. We had a large room and it was perfect for us and our 2 children. The breakfast was great too. Thank you so much for the kindness you showed us, we had a great time.

Wonderful stay, very peaceful, excellent service.
Location is 5 minutes from Titisee and the lake, and also within half an hour drive to all attractions for kids.
Amazing clocks collection, and the cakes leave you breathless.
Highly recommended.

We stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon. We stayed in the comfort double-room. The room was really nice, everything we could have wanted, and very clean, with an amazing view from our balcony.
The cafe is beautiful, with hand-made clocks and wood-carved statues for decoration. The cakes are delicious, as was breakfast, and there is a great restaurant up the road that serves authentic German dishes for a good price.
We could not believe the quality of service at the cafe. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, tey even helped us out late at night, and delivered extra water and tea to our room when we had an emergency that resulted in a hospital visit.
The cafe is situated close to two bus stops that take you in to Neustadt, and then on to Titisee, where we had a lot of fun in town and on the lake. The Black Forest is really beautiful and we would like to explore more of it.
We enjoyed every part of our stay here. We would definitely recommend it and will hopefully return.

Excellent standard of accommodation. Ample free parking. The breakfast room had numerous (chiming) clocks which created a nice atmosphere. In general terms, we cannot find too much fault with this accommodation. However, we are only awarding it four stars because of two reasons:
Firstly, unlike some of the other rooms, our particular room (12) did not have an integral balcony. We had to walk out of our room, down a corrider, and then opened a door to "our" balcony. Not ideal. Particularly if you roll out of bed wearing next to nothing and want to check the weather.

Secondly, breakfast was a strange affair. We cannot fault the quality, but the method of serving felt inappropriate. At all our accommodations except this one, the usual stuff (fruit juices, cereals, cheeses, hams, breads, yoghurts, etc, were laid out so that guests could decide what and how much of each item they wanted, and usually eggs could be ordered as and when required. However, at Cafe Pension Feldbergblick, Mrs Vogelbacher seemed to be carefully controlling what and how much of each item guests were consuming. We don't know whether she was just trying to ensure that nothing was wasted or whether this was just her "way" of doing things. We would arrive at our table to find that we had a small glass of orange juice each already waiting. There was some bread rolls in a basket on the table, and also a small platter containing some slices of cheese and some slices of ham. Mrs Vogelbacher would come to the table and ask if we wanted any eggs (that's fair enough - most of our hosts would ask how we wanted our eggs cooked). But no cereals of any kind in sight. When at home, cereals normally form the majority of our breakfast. On our travels, we have always found it commonplace for establishments to offer a selection of different cereals from which guests can choose. On the first morning I had to ask Mrs Vogelbacher whether there was any muesli? She came back with a tiny dish which contained the smallest amount imaginable. My wife asked if there was any yoghurt and Mrs Vogelbacher asked did she want natural or fruit? (my wife answered "natural") and sometime later Mrs Vogelbacher arrived back with some (fruit!) yoghurt. Perhaps in this instance there had been a slight miscommunication which is fair enough, but wouldn't it have been much simpler and more "grown up" to have had a selection of yoghurts and cereals and other items available so that individuals could decide FOR THEMSELVES what and how much of each item they would like to consume? It did feel a little bit like school dinner time ("you will eat what you are given and there will be nothing wasted"). Some fellow travellers may feel that we are splitting hairs. However, this is our review and the very prescriptive breakfast routine means that we are only awarding four stars to this establishment. Which is a pity - as it is generally quite a nice place and Mrs Vogelbacher is a friendly host. The accommodation only accepted cash - which again is a little strange and certainly not the norm. There was no food served after 7pm but there was an outstanding local establishment a very short (3 minute) car ride down the road that served meals until 9 pm, called Salenhof (www.Salenhof.de) where we enjoyed some great food.

We have just returned from 4 nights here and could not have been treated better anywhere. The room was a suite, really, and had everything we needed.
The breakfasts were excellent and the cafe meals and cakes, fabulous.
The cafe closed at 7pm but there was an excellent restaurant within a few minutes walk.
Superb for a quiet break, which was what we wanted.

I went there in the summer and I loved this place
It's very peaceful because it's located in the hills, a few km away from the nearest town

Breakfast was very good, they sell amazing cakes and wifi internet was free

In the hotel there is no restaurant, but I had a very good dinner at Gasthaus Ahorn (just a few hundred meters away)
