Service; They did not answer emails in weeks. I called many times and promised to answer and they did not. They sent me two wrong bills. There was no way to make the payment because they ignored it. After a thousand of calls and emails, mistakes, etc., I did not pass of them because it was a hotel imposed by my company.

Room; With a sofa older than me and a bed smaller than the sofa. The room was large but very old and the bed looked ridiculously dwarfed in that room.

Bathroom; It was new and good.

Internet; There was no internet in the room and if there was it was so slow that it was not possible to navigate.

Breakfast; Correct, the waiter's kind and attentive.

The hotel is located at the marketplace where everything is within walking distance. The train station is a 3 minute walk and just 12 minutes from Frankfurt airport. Breakfast is good with many choices and the staff are friendly.

I've stayed at this hotel before - it has been a simple, but clean property. This time, I needed some laundry - gave it to the desk on Wednesday, and by my departure on Saturday had not yet been returned. Hotel said it had been forgotten to be picked up from the laundry. Offered to send to my next hotel, which I accepted. But laundry never arrived and no response back from Arona to locate or offer compensation.

I travel a lot for business purposes and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
The television set is a at least 100 years old, the room was boiling hot (and I am usually always cold). The bathroom was at least clean and, compared to the rest of the room, quite modern. Btw: it is a real ghetto out there and you HAVE TO PAY for WIFI!!

We asked for an early check-in and were expected, which was nice, because we arrived quite tired. Comfortable bed, view of a roof, a street and a building - nothing special there. Room really big, especially by American standards - there was a sitting area with a couch, a nice little table with a welcoming bottle of soda water. There was also a mini-bar - we didn't use it, but it was great to see one after all this time. Everything was very comfortable - nothing exceptional. Gummi-bears instead of chocolate on the pillows - why? Very convenient to the train station (an easy walk), to the Opel offices, to a bakery where the staff doesn't smile but the sweeties and bread are delish, and to the fabulous Fleischerfachgeschaft where you can stock up on sausages. As well there is the Norma Supermarket just nearby where you can get whatever you need (except matches). Easy stroll to the river, and plenty of good restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: You can get breakfast at the hotel, but the nearby bakery does scrambled eggs while you wait for much less. They open at 6:30, and they have an espresso machine.
