Would recommend the Sunday lunch, having experienced a spendid meal on Mothers day, reasonably priced, and excellent service from all the staff.

Just had my mothers day family lunch at the
Queens head today early than normal but excellent once again, i would recommend this venue to anyone, especially on special days like today. It caters for everyone young and old and my family as had an excellent day due to the experience of the queens head, food and service brilliant,a well run village pub.

“Excellent pub grub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

Just love the Sunday roasts in this pub, all home cooked and the vegetables cooked to my liking, not boiled to death for hours. I happen to know that a lot of the puddings are home-made which is always a bonus - butterscotch tart to die for. The pub itself has a cosy, village feeling and I'm so glad we live close by and can be one of the regulars. I've never heard one bad word from anybody about the food and I've spent many hours in here, I've heard lots of compliments though. The same can be said for the staff, they are all wonderful and very friendly and I cannot understand the comments made by Actor 12345 - I think he or she must have been having a bad day to write such personal comments on here, they are just not necessary and very upsetting for the person involved.

“Fantastic Local!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

Being a regular visitor to the Queens Head, either for a social beverage or a meal, I cannot understand the negative comments below. There is always a cheery welcome and a great pint of beer, especially the Doombar! Just last weekend I had the steak and ale pie which was as fresh and tasty as you could wish for and the friendliness and service from the waitress (with perfectly manicured nails) was exceptional. We were with friends visiting from overseas and they were really impressed with every aspect. We are lucky to have such a gem of a pub in the village.

“Good Food, Good Beer, Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

I have used the Queens Head many times over the last few years and it never disappoints. The beers are well kept and taste good and fresh. The food is always excellent, fresh cooked and an ever changing menu. The sunday roast is very popular and it is best to book or you may have to wait for a table. One of the nicest things is that on the rare occaision something is not up to scratch, just mention it to one of the staff and it will put right with no fuss or embarassment.
It might not be the smartest pub in the district but it does know how to deliver a quality service.
