The hotel is in a good location in the centre of Memmingen and the front desk staff are very friendly. However, we found the room very sparse, old fashioned and hot as there is no airconditioning. We had to leave the windows open and that did make it quite noisy. Bathrooms are also old fashioned .Breakfast is mediocre at best .....

Compared to other hotels that I have been in it is not too cosy at all. The hotel does look quite grand at first, what with all of the marble that they've included but it then tends to not impress. Breakfast is mediocre at best with the only hot breakfast options being scrambled eggs and bacon. A few sliced cheeses and meat to go with your bread are lying around but not much to make you go "wow". Only towards the end of our stay did we discover that there was a restaurant that wasn't officially the hotels' but was linked to it in a way that I still don't understand. Still, compared to another restaurant that we visited in another hotel on the same weekend this was once again a disappointment.

In terms of service it is absolutely fantastic - the staff speak great English, you get complimentary sparkling water in your room and all the other amenities that you could think of - alas there is no minibar I am afraid. The hotel itself is located in a very quiet area that is also however located in a very central position in the city.

Well situated in the old town and our base for eight night's holiday. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. They were helpful with recommending local restaurants (the Klosterle was excellent) and the breakfasts were substantial. Like reviewer John W, we heard the bells of St Martinskirche ring out the hours when we had the window open, but it was rather nice to hear them. The rooms were overheated, but there were thermostats on the radiators in the bedroom & bathroom, so it wasn't a problem. In 4 inches of October snow the warmth was welcome! Would stay there again.

Stayed here for one night only whilst accompanying a friend back to Memmingen Airport after visiting us in Ulm. Hotel was centrally located, just round the corner from Marketplatz. Staff friendly and very helpful. We had a very new looking twin room in the attic. It was Very nice. Our only issue was the temperature of the room- too warm with little air coming through the attic window (it was August though). Would definitely stay here again.

Nice little hotel just off the central square in Memmingen. Not my first choice of hotels while staying in the area but not bad when the others are unavailable. It appears as though the carpet has been changed since my last stay a couple of years ago. Otherwise, not much else has changed. Bed are in need of new mattresses, or at least for the room I stayed in. Rooms are average size for Germany. Clean but all are noisy - very thin walls. Don't expect a lot of amenities. It's fairly basic.

The people in Memmingen are all extremely nice and helpful, including the front desk late night bar staff. Had customers in town and they kept the bar area open for us late. Don't expect any food at the hotel other than an average buffet in the morning. Not to worry, however, as there are many good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Will continue to stay here in the future when the Max in Ottobeuren isn't available.

Room Tip: Ask for the corner room on any floor: X19 (119, 219, etc) It's a lot larger than most others.

Location of hotel is great. Staff very friendly, and spoke good English. Not very far from the airport. Breakfast is your typical European, but they also served scrambled eggs and bacon. Do be aware that the church bells ring on the hour. I stayed two nights, and on the second night I didn't notice them. Overall a great hotel and good price.
