Hotel with a character will probably best describe this amazing place. Our room was spacious, clean and warm with big window that entered both light and the green of the trees around. The hot tub and heated pool as well as the gym were great fun. Breakfast was testy, especially the carrot and apple fresh juice. We also ate in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed the fresh salads and fish. The price, consider you get for free breakfast and entrance to the gym and spa, is great value for money. Highly recomended.

My colleague and I stayed here in Sept. '10. It was very cozy and great breakfast. The accommodations are tight for single travellers, but well maintained and just a nice place to stay for the first time in Germany.

I stayed in a suite for three days.

We choose the hotel because of its spa facilities. These are indeed extensive, but they lack the feeling of luxury which the best wellness centres have. So while I enjoyed using the pools, hot tubs and gym I was a little disappointed.

The same was true for the room, which was let down by the details. The suite was large, with a good view and contained both a Jacuzzi bath and a double shower with a steam facility. It was let down however by the presence of open shelves covered by a curtain in which to store cloths. A proper cupboard would have been more appropriate. Also a few luxury toiletries would have been appropriate considering the price, but all that was provided was soap.

The hotel offer free internet, but one two of the three nights the connection was so unreliable as to be almost unusable. This was disappointing as I like to listen to radio broadcasts in the evening while falling asleep.

We ate in both restaurants. The service was reasonable and the outside terrace at Tenne enjoyable when the weather was good. The food was only average, and a little heavy.

The Gut Hoehne is located nicely up in the hills east of downtown Duesseldorf, close to the city's finest golf courses.

The parking is placed in something that looks like stable. Very small places to park your car, so you better be careful.

The lobby is ok, looks like a 1980s family owned hotel. Dark oak furnitures, red bricks and dark tiles assemble to comfortable ensemble.

I was promised to get a room with free WiFi access, but it took front desk three rooms to get us one. The WiFi is only available in a small number of rooms and the signal is very weak, so you have to place your computer carefully.

The room design is old fashioned. Same oak wood furniture, combined with a modern bathroom (very spacious tub!!). TV set is ok, they offer pay tv for free! That is a bonus

What has to be mentioned: The wellness area is really great. It has a pool, several spas, massage-areas and and that stuff. An it's free for hotel guests.

We had dinner in one of the restaurants (Tenne) which was a bit of a disappointment. The food was also 1980's German cuisine, not too fancy, but solid. I had a steak, that was ok, but the table next to us ordered pasta with seafood and it smelled really really bad.

breakfast bufffet was average. It is included in the room price (€120), so I don't want to complain. They offer fresh bread (homemade), rolls, croissants, eggs, all the food you expext.

The staff is trying to be friendly, but one can tell they are pushed by the management to create revenue.
