We stayed at the Hotel Apfelbaum for one night, to catch a flight out of Munich the next day. We checked in on Good Friday. (Note to others: Nothing is open in Germany on Good Friday.) We had seen reviews on T.A. and thought it would be a good choice for our needs. It was cold and rainy when we checked in, which you can't do until 17:00 (5:00 p.m.) and our room was chilly, but the bathroom was warm, with heated tile on the floor, so nice. I talked to the owner who said the complete hotel has in-floor heat, so he told me how to regulate the thermostat in the room to get the room warm. It took several hours, but finally the room warmed up, a bit before bedtime. The beds were comfortable and it had a modern TV with many German channels, but we couldn't find an English channel, not even CNN. There were many choices for adult viewing, so don't let the little ones get a hold on the remote if you are uncomfortable with seeing naked women in provocative poses. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but just a warning for families with children. The owner and his wife were very nice. He greeted me by my name the two times I spoke to him. We would stay here again for convenience, and cleanliness of the hotel room and facility. Oh yes, they do serve breakfast for an additional charge. We had to check out before it was served, to make our flight, but the set up looked really nice.
