“Excellent breakfast included”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

We visited by S bahn. It is 500 M (1/3 mile) from the train stop to the Hotel according to Google maps. This isn't a resort destination but a great nights stay and a fabulous breakfast. When we flew out of Munich Airport we went the long S bahn way back into town because the times were deterministic. The bus should be much faster but we never found the schedule. If you have a rental car it looks like an easy drive to the airport.

We checked in and were took advantage of a deal for the Erding Therme Spa that was a few euro off and included the Galaxy water park which we had planned for the next day. The desk staff spoke very good English. Two bottles of water were gratis in our room. More water was available in a vending machine in the basement (a lift ride) for 1 euro. Local beer (very good) was also available for 1.5 euro a pint. They recommended Gasthof Zum Lindenwirt near the train station (probably 400 M away) which provided us a very nice German meal.

The good:

Beds, linens, soaps/shampoos, TV (yeah, not much English here), and free Wifi. Rooms were quiet.

The bad:

The exercise room had some broken equipment. They would be well advised to invest 400 euro to fix broken things and get the -1/2 rating point I had to hit them for in my review (but wait... breakfast made up for it).

The other problem was they have no A/C. It was cool enough at night with windows open but we ended up feeding the mosquitoes when we left the windows open. Good thing is these were really mild bites and after a day at the Erdine Therme and they were gone.

The excellent:

Breakfast. We spent three weeks on the road in Austria and Germany and this was near or at the top of our favorite breakfasts. I think the owners understand the great feeling people have when checking out after eating such a nice variety of meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, yougurts, coffee and so forth.

Great value (222 euro). great stay. We will return. Thanks Nummerhof.

Room Tip: This is on the end of a street to some farm community. It's very quiet. Unless you get extremel...

Very nice staff, clean room, and excellent breakfast. Although we were on a business trip we stayed at the Hotel Nummerhof for one day when we arrived in Germany and the day before we left so that we could go to the nearby thermal spa. We like to walk and it was no problem to walk from the hotel to the spa (perhaps 20 - 25 min walk). We rented the largest room in the hotel because we wanted a little extra space to spread out. The room had large glass doors that allowed the afternoon sun to come in creating a nice atmosphere (maybe not a plus during the summer but appreciated it on a chilly fall day). Would stay here again.

Room Tip: If you enjoy a room with space be sure to reserve the largest family room.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel one night. I decided to stay at this hotel because it was a easy and quick drive to the Munich airport. The hotel is just outside of Erding. I would say it was about 20 to 25 minutes to the airport from this hotel. The hotel was very nice and clean. You might want to ask for a quiet room, as there is some noise. I don't think the walls have much in sound proofing. The breakfast is a large assortment of breakfast choices. It starts you off with a hearty breakfast before you have a day of travel on the plane home. The family that run the hotel speak English well and are very friendly. A big bonus of free wireless internet was a plus too. Be sure to visit the town of Erding, it is charming. The rate was so much less than all the other hotels that were maybe just a little closer to the airport. Stay here if you have a rental car, it would be too costly to take a taxi. We will be back the next time we need a hotel near the Munich Airport.

The hotel is nice and clean. Good breakfast. Nice & friendly service from owner Markus and his mother.
It's a little outside of Erding and about 15 min. by car to MUC.

We stayed one night to take an early morning flight and would return without hesitation. The hotel comprises a crisp modern building of traditional design which sits off the main road at the end of a dead end street in a residential area just outside Erding. This means quiet and no passing traffic. The property has ample parking which faces a field. Friendly, helpful desk staff cooperated with all our requests. The continental breakfast buffet offered a variety of appealing foods and beverages in a pleasant, ground floor dining room. We had a light, spacious room, with crisp modern furniture, at the stair landing on the top floor. We would suggest taking a room at the end of one of the two corridors off the stairwell, as glass doors impede possible noise from guests waiting for the lift/elevator or using the stairs. Driving time to the airport ranges over 15 to 25 minutes, depending on the route you take and the traffic. Have a detailed map if you intend taking country roads (as we did) instead of the expressway.

  • Liked — Quiet location in residential area, helpful cooperative staff, breakfast buffet & convenient to Munich airport
  • Disliked — Nothing in particular
