Actually, as I'm a big fan of Audi, I can not be very objective, but the museum was great for me. Especially, the time-machine themed elevators were really very creative. Besides, the design of the museum was really a state of art (like all the Audi cars :)).

Stopped here on a drive through Germany and very pleased I did. You can spend as little or as much time here as you like but as a bit of a petrol head though not a huge Audi fan found the cars and trip down memory lane both interesting and fascinating. Well worth a visit.

I am long time owner & therefore biased, but enjoyed the museum very much. I learned a lot on the historical relevance of Audi as well as seeing the actual cars. European manufacturers clearly outclassed their North American counterparts in the 30's & 40's. A great selection of cars, however felt myself wanting more, having been to the other big 3 facilities already, still worth the drive though. Site was free & after visiting the information kiosk on the way in, was given complimentary parking..nice gesture!

The Audi Museum definitely worth a visit if you're interested in new and old cars. It shows quite a few cars from the times before Audi was founded - the Audi we know nowadays was an early joint venture type operation which involved 4 small German car makers, which were struggling with the financial crisis of 1928. That's what the 4 rings in today's Audi sign stand for. It's a very modern place, with all sorts of high tech gimmicks. All in all an ideal place to spend a lot of time for a husband, who's sent the family off to the Ingolstadt village shopping... :)
What is missing, are some recent Audi race and rallye cars, but exhibitions change frequently. Being German I didn't take a guided tour, all information provided in the Museum are bilingual, they can provide guided tours in other foreign languages, if they are given some days notice.
