The room I got was clean but relatively small, and with a small bathroom. amenities were ok, although the restaurant, was not the best. The hotel advertised free parking, but being a public parking it was full, so i had to park in the garage and it was charged to my bill. Breakfast was OK, so was cleanliness of room and of common areas.

The big advantage of this hotel is the location, with great view and a park outside just by the river.

When we entered the bathroom it did not seem the cleanest place as you would expect, and it did not smell to cleaning products, more like an used bathroom. The WC ventilator also needed some cleaning.
The interior of the rooms is not so "modern" as the outside.
The cleaning ladies were working at 9 AM and they made enough noise in the corridor that I could hear them inside my room.

Be careful if you are going to park your car, some of the spots have puddles.

Our room 202 had agreat view of the Rhein. We did not have a problem with noise. Being October and cool we didnt need to have window open at night so this may be why. The room is clean, nicely modern though an odd shape, perhaps because the building is a curved design, which makes the room feel a little pokie, however, the bed is wonderful and I'm certainly not complaining. The breakfast was one of the best for choice. We ate at the hotel restaurant Aquarius and it was top notch. We were given a champagne each on the house aswell as a small bread and herbed butter starter. Our meals were beautifully cooked and plenty of vegetables on the side. All over I would say this is a great place to stay. The ferry accross to Rudesheim and the round trip including, gondola, to the Niederwald monument walking trail and chairlift down to Assmanshausen and return ferry to Bingen for EUR 11 each was a fun day. Also a walk up to Castle Klopp at the top of town will reward you with nice views over the Nahe river.

Room Tip: Room 202 had a nice view, a little oddly shaped which means not a lot of room to walk past eachother...

The hotel is very modern with good disabled access, plenty of car parking although I would guess it could become crowded when a conference is being held. The rooms are excellent, we had a room overlooking the Rhine but my goodness, the Rhine is a very busy waterway with shipping going past all the time, day and night, and the engines are noisy too. Plus if you get the front of the hotel you have a passenger railway just yards from you and if you overlook the Rhine you have a goods railway, which may be across the river but appears to be used day and night almost every minute.

There is no air conditioning so in the summer you would need an open window and thus could have a fitful night's sleep.

Despite the noisy nights, I still liked the hotel for it's convenience to the town centre, cleanliness and free wifi. We had dinner our first night in the hotel's restaurant, the food was mediocre (not unusual in Germany) and fairly expensive compared to dining in town. The bar was good and during the summer you could make full use of the attractive outdoor lounges.

Room Tip: Take your choice between front of the hotel with a view of the car parks and commuter trains which m...

My wife and I stayed here in August 2012 and in August 2010. We stayed as a one night stopover en route from the UK to Slovakia. The hotel was ideal for our purposes. The hotel staff were very efficient, helpful and pleasant and will try to give you a good room. Our modern rooms were spotlessly clean and warm. The hotel is in an excellent location; right on the banks of the mighty Rhine so try to get a room with a river view. The view from our window was of the Rhine with the vineyards climbing up the hillside on the far bank. It's great just to sit in the evening, after a long drive and watch the barges chugging up and down the river. We've stayed there twice and would certainly recommend it.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the front of the hotel as that side is near the railway and you can hear...

We had a beautiful view from the room, overlooking the confluence of the Rhine and the Nahe rivers, but... that comes at a price. The noise from the barge traffic on the river and the trains across the river are quite disturbing at night. (Of course, the sound of the river flowing is lovely once the barges and the trains no longer run). The noise is all the more disturbing for the fact that there is no way to cool the room on a hot autumn evening other than leaving the window open. So, Catch 22. The breakfast is quite pricey but the spread is good. Just make sure you don't get there too late, or you'll simply be told "Oh, that is finished". The coffee is also served at the table in little pots and is warm at best.

Room Tip: Take a room overlooking the river if you can sleep through anything. Otherwise, perhaps opt for a ro...

Situated between the river and the railway ( many Bingen hotels are the 'wrong side of the tracks') many rooms offer river views. The rooms are a reasonable size and reasonably clean and modern albeit lacking some character. A large restaraunt offered regional dishes at a reasonable price (sunday dinner was a set menu) which could be matched with local wines by the glass. The breakfast selection was excellent and value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for river views
