I rarely give 5 points to restaurants in this class, but the Oskar Maria Graf Stuberl came very close. We ate there on the last evening of our four night stay. Among the dishes we shared were the Spanferkelrücken and the Rahmesgeschnetzeltes. Both were as good as any we have had anywhere! The prices were reasonable for the area and the portions were either generous or too large to finish. I strongly recommend it. Reservations are recommended as the place was full each evening when we drove by on the way to our hotel. We found the service friendly, helpful and efficient. Wine selections were limited.

We have dined here numerous times. Great Bavarian food, lovely wine selection and staff second to none. The suroundings are quite traditional and lovely. Be warned the portions are generous.

I visited the Stueberl again after many years of absence from Bavaria. What a delightful atmosphere, pleasant, efficient and polite waitress. The portions of food are typically Germanic (XLarge) so do leave out the Starter and enjoy the Pudding instead! Cream of Pumkin soup, followed by sliced Beef filet, in a heavenly thick cream with Giroles, This is called a "Pfannengericht" as its prepared in a pan and brought to the table. Far too much food for one person - best shared! Glorious on the palate!

Unfortunately disturbed by the next table where a family with an ill-mannered child were seated. Parents allowed the child to play electronic games at the table - loud ofcourse - and ofcourse not in accordance with duetsche Ordentlichkeit!!!! I was not amused, neither were the parents when I requested they keep their child in order!!!! Apart from the ill-mannered child, the overall evening was as expected: great food, in a great ambience! YES, and great and attentive service!!

The Stueberl is an amazing place with refined rustical Bavarian food. If you're a fan of Oskar Maria Graf, his work and spirit can only be brought forth and appreciated more when you sit and eat in his home. Its not just a restaurant, its a museum - beautifully incorporates the old world in the new.

Pity on the person who wrote a negative review - probably written by the competition!!
