I have been to the town itself several times over the years, as we have friends who live nearby - it's a beautiful spa in lovely countryside. I had never stayed in this hotel before, having, in the past, used holiday flats, when the children were younger.
The situation is in a quiet road backing on to an area of parkland, on a gently sloping hillside above the famous "Kurpark". Our room was spacious with a balcony, and, as is usually the case in Germany, very clean, with a minibar. They have the nice electric shutters which come down to cut out almost all extraneous light.
The TV has German programs only, but I speak some German, so that was not an issue.
Breakfast was excellent, with all sorts of choices of things to eat, The one dinner we had there was also excellent, served by a waiter who had far too much of a sense of fun to be German!
There is a good indoor pool with some water massage facility, bubbles etc.
I loved the quietude: it was almost impossible to hear any noise from traffic anywhere and one was woken in the morning only by the sound of birdsong.
