This lovely little family-run restaurant has a lovely terrace with great pasta dishes. I had a Tuscan antipasti selection followed by ravioli - it was delicious. My husband had a starter (can't remember what) followed by pasta with mushroom, we had water and a carafe of white wine all for 50 Euros. No complaints, if I was in the area, I would definitely go back

Da Pellegrino is first of all a restaurant which exudes the family traditions. This immediately shows through the warm and cheerful atmosphere which makes one feel at ease.
The restaurant is managed by Luca and his sister Monica. They are attentive to her guests throughout the restaurant and helped by a very efficient and courteous staff.

The menu offers several good choices of dishes including many local Tuscany specialties.
The top of specialties is the piece of Chianina, the typical breed of beef of the region (the Chianina is the largest and one of the oldest cattle breeds in the world). The meat is grill cooked and then sliced by Luca in front of the customer. This spectacle increases the pleasure of eating this delicious and tasty dish.
However, the meat is not the only specialty of Da Pellegrino: antipasti, fishes, poultry... all of these dishes being always served with seasonal vegetables. Veritable delights... for the eyes as well!
Among the specialties of Da Pellegrino, the large choice of homemade pizzas has to be mentioned. They are prepared by Monica and cooked in a real wood fired oven. The base is fine, light and crusty; the ingredients are fresh and perfectly dosed out.

Last but not least: the wines cellar of the restaurant. It offers the possibility to find out the best suitable wine to go with each dish of the menu. Do not hesitate to ask the advice of Luca: he perfectly knows the wines of the card.

I highly recommend Da Pellegrino for its concept, its atmosphere and the quality of its proposed dishes and wines. I can’t wait to go again during next holiday!

This restaurant is a surprising find in the hills of Montecatini. Our group enjoyed the house wine, pizzas cooked in a wood oven, and some tasty secondi that were a delightful surprise. The beef fillet with green pepper sauce was cooked to perfection and became the gold standard for the rest of our stay in Italy! We did not find it done better anywhere! Generous portions and moderate pricing make this a great place for a family.

We happened upon this restaurant while driving in Tuscany and decided to try it and we were so glad we did. We started with delicious pasta followed by a delicious pizza and the best Lamb chops I have ever had. The food was all fresh and flavoursome. Finally I finished with a crème brulee which they lighted and brought to the table as it burnt it formed a delicious and perfectly done toffee crust.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
