we booked a table for 13, didn't have to wait at all to be seated. menu to appeal to all tastes. but most of all was struck by how friendly and helpful the staff were, just a very good atmosphere over all.

“cheap as chips”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

Went Lunchtime had the horseshoe onion rings with dips, they were very good had the chicken Diane and steak and ale pie with mash also good. You cant go wrong with the prices they charge two pints of beer two glasses of wine just under 30 quid as long as you don't have high expectations but want reasonably priced value food then this is the place, Only downside it was very quite but guess that's the nature of pubs on a weekday lunchtime

“This pub has it all!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

So when we moved to the area this pub was run by another chain and was disgusting - it got done up by hungry horse but it still didn't really have a good vibe - under the new manager the pub has moved on and developed - great bands, great food, great ambience and too handy (joke) - the staff are very considerate especially when for three months I was wheelchair bound the care and consideration they showed was amazing. For years of paying for cabs to go elsewhere for our evening entertainment we now have something on our doorstep which we are PROUD to take our famine and friends to. Well done

“Very handy with children!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2013

We go here about 3/4 times a month reguarly for a couple of years now and we really like the place. It does exactly what we need it to do as a family with young children, gives us an affordable lunch out in a nice atmosphere with an area for the children to play. The Manager (Kelly?) is always very nice and welcoming and takes time to get to know her customers so you always get a friendly and convincing hello from her.

Drinks are well priced and food is well priced (yes it's chain food, but it's pretty alright chain food) and it allows us to eat out more regularly which the kids love. The recent addition of the playstructure is a bonus too.

“Fantastic lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013 via mobile

Having been to the monkhams a couple of times with my family have found it very well priced and good quality food. Nice little climbing frame in the garden very popular with the children. There is a large menu that anyone would find something to eat. Keep up the good work. It is now part of the hungry horse chain :)
