“Best Pizzeria in Allgau”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2012

Bad location but by far the best real Italian food! Really great antipasti, pizzas are really big and tasty. It is in a keller with no windows but just go there, you will simply love it!

“Decent pizzas and fast service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2012

Went here with a couple of friends as a change from the hearty German fare that was on offer at most of the other restauirants round Oberstdorf.

The restaurant itself is in the basement and as you descend steps to go in, there's some rather loud music playing. This was somewhat off-putting as I assumed the music would be playing equally loudly inside - thanksfully, it wasn't. (Is this some kind of ploy to entice passing trade in? If I hadn't decided to go for pizza it may well have put me off).

Anyway, once inside, all the staff behind the counter acknowledged our group by calling out "Cioa!". We were then seated at our table and served fairly quickly. The waiter was fairly brusque with us, although he did take our order efficiently and served us efficiently throughout the meal.

The pizzas were had were all reasonably good. Unlike most places in the UK, they don't attempt to serve numerous toppings - most seemed to have 3 or 4 different ingredients (on top of the cheese and tomato, obviously).

So, in summary, reasonably good pizzas, no hanging around, reasonable prices and a slightly surly waiter.
