“Good Greek food but a little pricey.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

A welcome break from traditional German food that dominates Oberstdorf. We had bean soup, tzatziki, grilled chicken and moussaka. All good and the moussaka was excellent. Perhaps a little pricey for the quality but the manager was very friendly and all together it was a good evening.

“Authentic Greek food in Germany”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

We tried many resturants during our week in Oberstdorf, some very good. This was the best. Service was good, and despite being busy not too long to wait. The menu is varied enough for kids (ours 12-16) and us. We sat outside in the terrace and despite a bit of rain (the covers extended out to keep us all dry) this was very pleasant. I had a slow baked lamb and onion dish which was excellent. Felt relaxed and not rushed despite the busy resturant.

“Greek food in Germany”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

I'll be honest. I'm not a big fan of the Greek cuisine. I have never been in Greece, but in Greek restaurants in Belgium they mess up their dishes with yoghurt (I hate it), feta cheese on eveything (idem), and lemon juice on all meat (just dispicable!). So when finding all terraces competely full in Oberstdorf and noticing one free table at El Greco, we decided to give it a chance. With two small children after a full day of hiking. I said I'd be honest, and the food was honestly good. Children had skewers (souflaki) with rice and truly enjoyed their first Greek experience. I had Metaxa Souflaki and had a good time too as well did my wife. The waitress, which appeared to be the lady of the house, was very friendly, helpfull and busy with the kids. Overall, this sure was a very fine evening enjoying good food and drinks at a bit higher, but still fair prices. Service was superb, thanks to all personnel and to the lady of the house! Thanks!

“Best meal in Oberstdorf!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

Mousaka to die for ! Just the right amount of nutmeg, and a luscious creamy bechamel sauce. My 11 year old liked it and she is really picky.

Waitress was great. She was one of those waitresses/waiters that seem to appear right when you need them.
