We ended up there for dinner as it was a Monday and most of the restaurants seemed to be closed in Quedlinburg. It seemed to be the right choice since we were feeling like fish for dinner.
As we came in there was nobody to welcome us and there was no sign of waiter/waitress. After a while a chef came out from the kitchen and told us to sit. We quickly realized that it would be a long wait. There dining area, the kitchen and the bar were very far from each other and the waitress had to 1) take the order 2) go to the kitchen to tell the order 3) go to the bar to prepare the drinks. There were not many people but it was very visible that the waitress was having a hard time. She was however nice when taking our order and also gave us a baby chiar for our baby.
We got our food earlier than expected. Fried fish seems to be the only option but it didn’t really feel just fried. It was either heated up or re-fried. Usually I always eat everything and I’m not hard to satisfy but this time I couldn’t finish my meal. We quickly ask for the bill and when we paid the waitress didn’t give us 20cents back. 20 cents is nothing but I think it is the gesture and I would like to choose to tip for the service. We felt it was strange to ask for it and we chose to believe that it was an unconscious mistake.
The garden outside is nice for eating and if you are going there for a peaceful place and a nice beer you are on the right place. If you are going there for the food search further.
