This Pension is so close to everything that we barely needed the car. The only time we took it out was when we explored the Harz region.
Mrs Koch and her daughter were in charge of it all, welcoming us and showing us to our room. We had a triple room (Rm 6) two flights up, which was very spacious and comfortable. We only had hand luggage with us, so quite easy to use the stairs but if you have a heavy case, it´s a fair few steps. At least the staircase is wide enough that you aren´t squeezing through.
Breakfast was plentiful and always delicious. Boiled eggs, slices of tomato with basil, cheese and balsamic vinegar, different cheeses, cold meats, jams, honey, nutella and cut up as well as whole fruit. Plenty of tea and coffee as well as orange juice.
My only gripe and it was quite frustrating is that I had no wireless in my room. I deliberately book accommodation offering wifi and get so mad when I realise I have to sit downstairs in the breakfast room to access it. There was no offer of wireless by the owner or in the information booklet in our room. So I had to ask for access. Then there are two networks, I chose the obvious one which was the name of the Pension but didn´t get into it. The next day I thought I would try the less obvious one and sure enough got in with the passcode.
Other than that it was a wonderful stay and would recommend it if you have no need for wifi or don´t mind sitting in the breakfast room for it.
