Very nice hotel in Golsar with an entrance to the main square. Recently changed hands and under new management. The front bar/restaruant has been refurbished recently, more like a wine bar bistro than restaraunt.
Rooms excellent with downstairs area and upstairs for bed and shower room. Rooms a descent size and spotlessly clean.
Strange breakfast arrangement, whereby they deposit a tray outside your room at 7am with various rolls, cereals, cheese, meat, jam/honey......etc., with a coffee making machine in the room.
Just walkable from the main staiton if not raining.

One of the best i have stayed, apart from breakfast everything was fine. Double storied room, with beds on the top floor and sofa in the ground. Nice decor, antique style and location was fantabulour. Traditional streets all around, with narrow roads and shops........worth walking through the narrow streets. Great experience.

Room Tip: I personally believe all the rooms as good, except, there is no lift........after all only one floor...

We stayed 4 nights and loved every minute of our stay. The staff were so friendly and welcoming
Our 2 floor suite was a delight, well equipped and very clean. Breakfast good with freshly cooked
scrambled eggs etc., upon request. Car parking excellent as you are right in the town centre.
Our room was very quiet and peaceful, we did not want to leave.

We stayed 3 nights in Goslar during our 2-week tour through 8 of the “10 prettiest towns in Germany”. Henry’s was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in. We splurged a bit, and booked a 2-floor suite, but it was not all that expensive at 145 € ($205 CAD). The building itself probably dates from the 18-19th century, but the room was very modern inside. Some rooms may look over the square, we are not sure, but our room looked over the inner courtyard. The view would have been lovely and Christmassy if we had been there during their Christmas market, but we were about 10 days early, so we got to watch them building it. There are other nice looking old hotels on the square that may perhaps feature more dated, quaint and charming interiors, but if you prefer a modern room within lovely old architecture, then Henry’s is for you. Service is not a feature – this is more of a restaurant with rooms than a full service hotel. However, the desk staff were very courteous and helpful, even too helpful as they would quickly switch to English as my tongue tripped over my recollection of high school German. The location is perfect – right off the main square – so you are close to the old town centre and what appears to be the main shopping district. The breakfasts were very good – the usual good German hotel buffet breakfast, but also featuring made-to-order almost gourmet breakfast dishes from their kitchen. The restaurant is very nice too, but that’s in a separate review. Attached are many photos showing the room. If you’d like some space to spread out a bit, try the 2-room suite at Henry’s.

As others have said, great location. Quiet room with a comfortable bed. Note if you cannot do stairs this is not the hotel for you. The rooms are set up townhouse style with a living room downstairs and the bedroom bathroom upstairs.

Directions are not hard but the parking is behind the hotel not in front. Also if you arrive later the front desk will be closed but go inti the restaurant to check in,,

We enjoyed staying at Henry's hotel for it's location, great breakfast and ease of parking. My only criticism is that the bed linen was uncomfoble for me. Not crisp white linen as is normal but fitted sheets of stretch material that was really rough to sleep on. This may seem minor but when you are paying top rates, these things are important. Also it took so long to get served sitting out front, (when it wasnt busy) that we got up and went elsewhere for lunch.

Otherwise lovely town and hotel

As other reviewers have said, although not the cheapest hotel in Goslar, The space provided by the two rooms is worth every euro!
We stayed during the Christmas market and were not at all bothered by the noise as it all closed down at a reasonable time. The central location is great and it was easy to get to the sights in Goslar and also the station for a trip to other nearby towns.
Breakfasts were wonderful with a lovely buffet and friendly service.
