The Church is closed for renovations for the unforeseeable future, but don't let that deter you from visiting. The walk to the top of the hill is moderate in difficulty, but worth ever heavy breath and bead of sweat. The grounds of the Church are beautiful, but most impressive is the sweeping vistas of Bamberg. Great photo opportunities, and spectacular views of the Bavarian red roofs. If the walk up the hill makes you thirsty, there is a biergarten on the church grounds. Prost!
