This would be very interesting if a flyer or wall plaques would have been in English. There are limited hours like 3-5 two days a week. The exhibits show a dark side and many other things about the man that wrote The Nutcracker and the Mouse.

Hoffmann gets a lot of advertising in Bamberg but when we finally made it to Schillerplatz it took some searching to find the Hoffmannhaus. Unfortunately, the haus was closed and we were unable to enter but it spurred our interest and we researched ETA Hoffmann. Turns out he was a short lived resident of Bamberg and the haus was quite humble. If you are a fan of the Nutcracker, or any other of his work you should visit during operational hours. Be warned, he was no angel.
