I brought 40 people from Australia to this wonderful hotel and could not have been happier. The service was great Maria and Susanne could not have helped us more. The restaurant food was delicious and the wait staff were incredible. Air conditioning would have made it 100% perfect, however fans were supplied to us and this helped. Will return with another group in the near future.

Room tip: Ask for a room with balcony to enjoy the super view.

For the price of 186 Euros per night, would have expected more. Receptioness was flustered, couldn't handle more than one customer at a time. Room wasn't ready so left the luggage at the front desk, were told they would bring them up once the room was ready - didn't happen, we had to do it ourselves once we came back later. Due to the extreme heat, we asked for a fan, was told they didn't have enough per room though she was holding one for another customer. When later asked, she finally gave it to us. Was promised a floor fan the next day. Did get it however it was broken, no front guard, one blade missing & the housing unit all taped up, we gerry-rigged it & managed to get it working. Then was the sign stating they would charge us different rates for the type of trash we left in the room. Maid service was terrible, only made the top part of the bed, didn't empty the bathroom trash, didn't clean the bathroom, didn't vaccum. The shower door was broke, my husband managed to fix it so we could use it. The only positive experience was the breakfast - very good selection, well cooked eggs, leaf tea assortment, fresh fruit salad.

Room tip: Rooms facing the alley way are too warm when it is hot outside, recommed a room facing the lake.

The entrance seems to have been refurbished but as soon as you come around the corner to take the elevator, the place looks different. Spots on the elevator walls. Dull looking room with cheap and out of date furniture and curtains. very used mattress. Fine bathroom but toilet seat loose and shower curtain in very urgent need of replacement. Free WiFi but hardly functioning. Fortunately very good breakfast and at the end an inexpensive stay.

Ringhotel is nicely located next to the Bodensee. Friendly staff at reception.
I had room 9. Slept really good! Disadvantage is the TV, cannot watch TV from bed.
View on the lake from own balcony.
Next to the hotel are a Fish shop/restaurant and a post restaurant.
Ferry to Meersburg is also a neighbour.
Free parking in front of hotel. Free WiFi included but weak signal in my room.
For business people there is a disadvantage, breakfast starts from 7.15am. Far too late for me.

My wife and I stayed two nights at Hotel Schiff in Konstanz in early March.
Our room was on the first floor, overlooking the lake. The view was gorgeous: the sun glows red as it rises through the morning mist and at night, the lights of Meersburg across the lake, and of the ferries were captivating.
The room was quite big, with a big, comfortable bed and a good wifi service. Minibar prices were surprisingly cheap. Good heating; reasonable bathroom. No noise at all.
The breakfast was standard. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding: attentive, helpful service, with a good recommendation of local wine to try. The food was of very high standard. 130 euros for three including a bottle of superb wine seemed good value.
Location is good. It is 50 metres from the ferry terminal (to Meersburg, across the lake) and 30 metres from a bus-stop: there is a frequent bus service (No.1 bus) into Konstanz that takes about 15 minutes and is free if you stay at the hotel.

Room tip: Lake view is amazing
