“Extraordinary high level of tastyness”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

This has been our favorite restaurant in Konstanz for almost two decades, whenever we return to this city its our first choice ... if we get a table. Its absolutely amazing that they manage to keep the quality permanently on the same high level over the last two decades. I always ask myself how they do it in that limited space. Its the absolute champion of all kitchens I ever experienced worldwide in Taste/Squaremeter relationship.
Here you can see the sun over the canary islands rising, just order "pollo canario" or any other dish on the extraordinary menu. Highly recommended.

“Tapas deluxe”
Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

If you are fan of Tapas this restaurant is a must in Konstanz.
Delicious Tapas in many variations and fresh fish at a good price.
The service is excellent and very friendly.
One should book a table well in advance, especially on weekends.

“Excellent ambience and food”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

I went this place ( i live in Zurich) and 4 people was 90 euros.

We asked for 3 beers, water, 1 glass of Sangria and later 1 liter of Sangria.
We asked more tapas than we could eat (some examples: bread with 3 sauces, gambas al ajillo, chorizo, octopus salad, and others).

The quality of tapas is on highest level.

Very pleasant employees (Spanish, English and German). I am Portuguese so i talked Spanish but also Engish and German is available.

The restaurant is very nice and typical.

In the end we were surprised with the bill: 91 euros meaning 22,5 euros/person with all drinks and more tapas than needed. Amazing :D

“Muy bien und sehr gut too!”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

This is a charming tapas restaurant. We were a bit worried because there weren't any very recent reviews. Had it gone out of business? So we wandered round during the day and booked for the evening. Good job too - this place is popular so reservations essential. We sat outside - on a summer evening it is very hot inside. The terrace was nice, and the inside looked cozy and atmospheric. The owner (Maria) speaks Spanish and German. The waiters Spanish and we were English so a linguistic identity crisis ensued that was great fun. The tapas was varied and excellent - all sorts and thoroughly delicious. We had 11 small platters for four of us plus extra bread. Particularly recommended - patatas canarias, pechuga de pollo, albondigas (mmmmn), prawns - actually it was all lovely. And much as we love hearty Bavarian fare, what a relief to have smaller dishes. Please note - only cash!!

“Exceptional tapas, have in the last 10 years not found a place alike”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Very friendly team (although some really do only speak Spanish...) and lots of known yummy tapas on the menu (such as papas canarias with three different sauces) but also - daily - on the blackboard, explained personally by the owner. Essentially, you cannot stop ordering... Also dessert tapas are delicious. At the end, you pay like for a real three-course dinner but it has always been worth it until this day.
