“Ok for a wet day”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

Finding ourselves in Konstanz on a wet day we thought we would give the aquarium a visit. Having arrived at reception we were taken aback at the cost - about 16 euros each - but decided to go ahead anyhow. Most of the displays were standard fish etc with only one section interesting. This was a 'walk through tunnel' area with numerous species swimming above and around.

All in all an average experience which is certainly overpriced.

Dear Sir or Madam,

thank you for your feedback on Trip Advisor about your visit to the SEA LIFE Konstanz. Sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your visit to our SEA LIFE center.

You express concerns about our prices.
The SEA LIFE Konstanz is an independent company, which has its origin in England. This means that we, unlike zoos, do not receive any government support. Just to ensure that our marine creatures have a natural and healthy environment entails high costs. Despite the missing government support we offer discounts to our guests like Online-Tickets, vouchers and Family Tickets.

If you have any other comments, please share them with us: slc.konstanz @ sealife.de

“OK Place For Kids, but There are Far Better Aquariums”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

This is an OK place to visit with kids but don't expect too much. We have been there 3 times with our year passes(purchased for a visit to Legoland Germany) and each time only visited for just over an hour. It is overpriced for what you get but half off coupons or buy one adult get a kid free coupons are available around town sometimes. (You could try a McDonald's kids meal.) We will probably go at least once more before our passes run out but then wouldn't bother to pay to go after that. This would be a good place to go on a rainy or really cold day if y.ou need something to do.

Dear Allissa,

thank you for your feedback on Trip Advisor about your visit to the SEA LIFE Konstanz. Sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your visit to our SEA LIFE center.
You express concerns about the length of stay.

There are over 40 aquariums with more than 2,000 fresh- and saltwater fish at SEA LIFE Konstanz and over 100 different species of other marine creatures .

In addition to information boards, small lectures and an interesting film about marine conservation, especially our younger guests can learn exciting things about sea creatures at the so-called "touchbassin".

Our "Dive Log" is also an entertaining and educational addition to the exhibition. If you have enough time you can calculate about 60-90 minutes for the tour.

In addition, there is also the opportunity to explore the surrounding area of the Lake of Constance in the Museum of Natural History in more detail with your admission ticket. Since this is a day ticket, you can also go and visit the center several times. Many of our guests like to perceive this opportunity in the late afternoon or after lunch.

“Expensive for very little”
Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

How disappointing. The only thing going for this was that it was extremely cold and wet outside and it provided shelter for a family with small children. Other reviews have mentioned how crowded it could but this due to the narrow tank viewing area, not helped by the people coming back against the one-way flow (presumably because they feel they must have missed something!)

Dear Ian,

thank you for your feedback on Trip Advisor about your visit to the SEA LIFE Konstanz. Sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your visit to our SEA LIFE center.
You express concerns about the number of visitors.

SEA LIFE is a so-called "Indoor - attraction," a closed center. The safety of our visitors is paramount.
We try to control a strong stream of visitors in the Center by instructing our cashiers and our time-controlled door in the first exhibition room. Further improvements are currently being planned. But some of our aquariums are "crowd pullers", so that backlogs can happen. We have no influence on that.

“Unimpressive”
Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

Suitable for winter or a rainy day but not that much to see and layout means if there are a lot of people it will feel very crowded and uncomfortable

“It is a small Sea Life”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

It's pretty small. Kids run through within 15 minutes. Only the end there are pinguines, that kids could watch a litte bit langer, but then it is already game over. Compared the aquarium from zoo, such as Frankfurt zoo, the Sea life is rather small and expensive.
