Stuttgart Marriott Hotel Sindelfingen
Ranked #2 of 20 Hotels in Sindelfingen

The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English, the hotel serves excellent brekfast though a bit pricy, and the room was big and clean.

The location is on Sindelfingen main road where is nothing to see, so I would recommend this hotel only for people who came on business to that area. (Too far from Stuttgart for tourists)
There is a big shopping mall (Breuningerland) about 10 mins walking from the hotel.

In overall, a very nice and comfortable hotel.

Although we had made a reservation in January and received an additional email confirmation five days before our arrival, as we tried to check in at around 2PM we were told that the hotel was full. The General Manager personally said that he made a business decision to give the room(s) to conference goers instead of honoring our reservation. There was no apparent attempt to contact us before we arrived. After pressing the front desk personnel, they were able to find a room for us at another hotel (our expense, of course).

The bottom line is having a reservation at this hotel does not mean that a room will be available when you check in. I expect that if you do not honor your guaranteed reservation that your credit card will be charged.

Stayed here while sightseeing in and around Stuttgart. This hotel is not based in Stuttgart itself but in Sindelfinden, about 30 minutes away from downtown Stuttgart. There isn't much of interest in the area around the hotel as it is located on an unattractive busy road lined with gas stations. My room had a view on car dealerships. Access to the highway network is easy so the hotel can make for a good base for sightseeing.

The building dates from the 80's and shows its age on the outside. The inside however has been well maintained but lobby and restaurant areas are rather unimpressive. There were no real issues with the king bed room which was clean (except for the windows which were filthy). The room was a little more spacious than average (for Europe) but the bathroom was very small. Marriott Revive bedding made all the difference.

Breakfast buffet was good, but lacking in local specialities. Service at breakfast was also very rough but front desk was helpful and pleasant. Overall not a particularly nice Marriott property, but no bad surprises either.

The Mercedes Museum is definitely worth a visit and there are some nice sightseeing opportunities only 30 minutes away such as Schloss Solitude or the village of Tübingen. The hotel can also help arrange bookings for Mercedes factory visits but make sure you call in advance.

The room was spacious though the bathroom had a curious false ceiling which made showering for anyone over 6 foot something of a contortion act. The room faced an inner courtyard and was quiet.

The hotel itself is typcial corporate bland (with expected/ understandable American overtone) but the staff were attentive and helpful. Restaurant pricy but good quality.

No opportunity to visit the local town as arrived late/departed early, though it is handy for the Mercedes Benz factory.

The location is a little balnd/businesslike. The sevice is friendly and efficient. Check in and check out can take long sometimes.

A tip: if you like steak, try the restaurant.

My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst driving to Austria on holiday. Our room was very nice - clean and spacioius, containing two large single beds, which were very comfortable. The air conditioning in the room was very quiet.

We ate in the bar, located in a large central atrium. The food on offer was well presented, tasty and reasonably priced.

Breakfast was also good - plenty of hot and cold options on offer. This was included in our room rate, so I do not know how much it would cost.

There is a car park on two levels under the hotel - this cost €14 for the night, which I felt was a little expensive.

Both reception and bar/restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.

Overall an excellent hotel - will definitely stay here again.

We got this room for $119 a night and stayed 2 nights. The lobby is quite nice and seems updated. There's a business center, two restaurants and a bar in the lobby area. Guests have free use of the pool and fitness center. Rooms are spacious with large closet space. Bathroom is narrow, a little tight with a low ceiling with a shower and tub combination. We had enough towels but they were thin and worn.

Overall, everything about this hotel feels dated from the 70s, maybe even earlier. Our bed had a dip in the center so we kept rolling to the middle of the bed. Needs to be replaced. Room didn’t have microwave, fridge or even a coffeemaker! This is a Marriott 3 star hotel but it felt more like a budget motel, like a Fairfield or Holiday Inn.

The biggest disappointment was the restaurant downstairs. After driving the autobahn for 3 hours, we decided to eat here and turn in early. Big mistake. It was the worst food with absolutely the worst service we have had in our many years of travel. We won’t eat here again and don’t recommend it to anyone.

We picked this hotel for the convenience to a meeting we were attending. Otherwise, we wouldn’t stay here. It isn't convenient to anything else! Unless you have a specific reason to stay at this hotel, there are so many more nicer places to stay in Sindelfingen.
