We were meeting with a customer and they recommended that our team stay at this Marriott. As a frequent Marriott customer and an elite member, I figured we'd be fine. Unfortunately, this hotel is ancient and overpriced for what is delivered (I found the Movenpick hotel next to the airport to be significantly better)

The check in process took forever. In spite of there being 3-4 different desk attendees, the per-person process took forever.

The elevators take forever...I never really could find the stairs, but it would have been way faster. Virtually anyone could walk faster than wait for these things...
The room is really out of date. The TV looks like something from the mid 80's. The bathroom really needs an update. But the bed was comfortable.

The internet policy is unique...For their daily fee, you're only allowed to one one device connected...So you have to log out your laptop to use your ipad or phone, etc. Irritating to say the least.

The parking lot is really small. When our hosts drove us back over, they had a hard time trying to find parking in the underground lot. And given the location, there isn't much of an alternative....

The gym is okay...Decent set of weights, one treadmill, one or two bikes. Never an issue with any crowds in the morning.

The hotel breakfast is pretty good...Just really expensive. The all in buffet is 23 Euros - which is by far the most expensive breakfast buffet i've been too. When all you really care for are a few eggs and muesli, its a steep price.

Overall, There are both better hotels in the area and way better Marriotts....

Room Tip: Avoid the interior rooms at all costs...try to get an external view room...

I had an extended stay at the Marriott and was able to see a wide range of scenarios play out. The staff is well above average and I can't give enough praise to them and how friendly and professional they are. The hotel is older which limits some of what they can offer, but the service far makes up for these deficiencies (limited and tights parking in the garage and older facilities and furniture).

The food is good, with great breakfast, good bar/room service, and the executive lounge has a nice variety of European snacks available. The location is great for military and automotive business or if you just want to stay outside the city (Stuttgart) and use this as a jumping off point. There is transportation into Stuttgart but you need to plan for about an hour to get there via public transportation, or 30-40 minutes by taxi.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would recommend that this be the benchmark for all hotels to emulate for customer service.

Excellent reception service; immaculate rooms and room service, including turndown service; very nice concierge lounge; small but efficient gym and sauna. I really liked this hotel. There is a large park with walkways one street away from the hotel. Fifteen minutes from the airport.

We used this hotel as a base to visit the Mercedes and Porsche museums, hike the wine trails and for a day-trip to Baden-Baden. This hotel turned out to be a very good value for the 101 Euro rate that we paid, which included parking and breakfast for two. It has a concierge lounge for gold/platinum Marriott members. They do not offer breakfast in the concierge lounge on the weekends, but the lounge is still open 24 hours with free sodas/coffee/chips/newspapers, and to use the computers there. The employees here were extremely helpful in planning our outings, even going so far as to print information from the internet for me about the wine trails around the city when they had no brochures available. Additionally, for those with access, there is a US military base only a few miles away. We were able to visit the PX there to buy our German gingerbread and other trinkets. We then used the post office on base to mail them home at US postal rates instead of having to pack them in our luggage to carry home. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when in this area.

The Marriot in Sindelfingen is a good hotel. Stayed there for a business trip. A lot of American guests in this hotel, which I really enjoyed. Liked the breakfast, luckily my company paid for it because it is with about 20 EUR kind of expensive.
For my taste the room was a bit traditional, even old-fashioned furnitured. A pain in this hotel are the VERY SLOW elevators.
Have also tried the Sauna, which was quite enjoyable and not very crowded during a week day.
