Unsure of what to expect at a hotel attached to an indoor ski-hall, I was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was great, the room and bathroom comfortable and exceeded expectation. Dinner at the restaurant was average and expensive. Lunch was good and reasonable. Wifi was free, bonus. The staff were helpful. Skiing was good and the South African instructor brilliant. We enjoyed driving to Cologne and Dusseldorf nearby and even ventured out to towns on the Rhine an hour away by car. I would recommend this hotel for doing business if you prefer being away from the busy cities and enjoy skiing or watching people learn to ski.

Took a space booked by a colleague at the last minute and had no idea what the place was like - wasn't even aware of the indoor ski slope, which is enormous and visible for miles.

Terrific rooms, very eccentric design and the ski slope make it a different experience to most hotels. There is a theme park element to this place, but it is well done and fun to be in. I would certainly stay there again.

Possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever seen. Easy links to Dusseldorf by train. Good breakfast. Service good too, though the bar staff were a bit stern.

Room Tip: Every room has a different theme.

This is a great hotel for the price in Germany. The rooms are big and so is the bathroom and shower, not your typical German Hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The Skihalle is an indoor ski arena where you can ski 360 days out of the year and it is perfect for beginners. Once you are done, you can retire to your room or hit the sauna for a relaxing time. We found this to be a great value for the price, even the restaurant had good prices and it is under a 2 hour drive from Wiesbaden. Our daughter loved it so much we are planning a trip back. Thank you for the great time. R0mer0Family.

Room Tip: No problem with noise, theme rooms are cool but we opted to keep the price down going with a normal...

This is a very interesting place - the hotel is adjacent to the indoor skiing at Neuss - the bar / lobby overlooks the beginner´s slopes, the main restaurant overlooks the lift. The style of the hotel is strictly alpine with theme rooms and real aged wood - imported from Austria.
One really gets the feeling of entering another world. The Alpine style is carried followed in all of the resort - from white sausage at the breakfast to cheese noodles at dinner. The staff will greet you with a hearty "Servus" and make you feel at (mountain) home.
WLAN is free, with good coverage in the lobby area and the rooms. Actually - it works as well on the slopes, so you can post your run on FB...
The hotel can be reached by bus from Duesseldorf or Neuss city center, but arriving by car is much more convenient. Duesseldorf airport is 30 minutes by car - Duesseldorf city center about 20 minutes.
No to forget - they have a great spa which comes free of charge with the room - boasting 2 saunas and a steam room as well as fitness / workout facilities.

This is the second year our company has met at this location. Very nice rooms, comfortable beds and a great staff. Typical European breakfast with meats, cheeses, excellent breads, yogurt, eggs. Excellent full service restaurant (Salzburger Hochalm) on site as well as a cafeteria style dining facility. Didn't have time to ski :-( but it looked fun and there were plenty of people there taking advantage of the indoor facilities. They charge for the WiFi connection, which didn't work very well from the room. If you don't speak German the TV gets boring. The town of Kreitz is within walking distance if you want a diversion

Room Tip: Staff speaks English. WiFi connection in the room is poor. About a 20 minute taxi ride from Dussel...

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Dusseldorf area, you won't be disappointed in this hotel. The hotel is part of a ski/sports complex. They have an indoor ski slope, a rock climbing area, and a outdoor recreation area that's great for kids. The rooms were clean and a nice size. They have a nice restaurant, and a cafeteria style restaurant, both good. We were so glad that we stayed here, if for nothing else the experience at such a unique place. From here we easily took day trips to Cologne, Aachen, and Wuppertal.

Room Tip: I don't know if any rooms open on the indoor ski slope. If so, that would be wonderful.

This was an excellent experience for our family. Two nights was simply too short. We departed from Dusseldorf and wanted a nearby hotel. The location was perfect--about 20 minutes from the hotel to the airport. The theme is fun and whimsical. Our room was very spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. There is complimentary bottled water in the room. The bathroom is modern and big.Our kids loved even the smallest details--especially the bunk beds--a first for our kids. In the lobby bathroom, which has a water theme, the soundtrack plays bubble sounds. My kids loved tubing in the snow (chilly for me at 25 degrees). I am pretty certain this will be the only thing they will remember from their European vacation! Well, that and the awesome playground outside. There is also an area for climbing, bike rental and other activities, but we simply ran out of time. The breakfast was vast and delicious. We dined in the casual restaurant which was really good with very reasonable prices. The spa is cool and the gym was adequate. The hotel is quite the local hot spot on the weekend, but the staff does a very good job at keeping the revelers away from the guest rooms. Free parking and wi-fi. This place is too cool to describe.
