It was our day out filled with lots of walks around fortress and visual feast looking down to Novi Sad and beautiful river Danube. Preparation for Exit festival was in full swing, lots of tourists visiting, and weather was absolutely gorgeous, so we enjoyed and appreciated our time spent on Petrovaradin. One of main attractions was a clock tower, which has one interesting fact. The minute and hour hand on the clock tower are reversed, with the small hand showing minutes, and the big hand showing hours. It was created as such, so that fishermen on the Danube river can see the time from a long distance. There is a lot of history attached to this grounds so if you are here familiarise yourself with it and enjoy the vista. Wear sensible footwear as there is a lot of walking involved and different levels. Before leaving, stop for a meal or a drink in lovely restaurant on fortress' grounds.
