This has been our early snow destintion of the last 10 years. Consistently good early season snow. Friendly resort and well maintained facilities.

“Hidden Gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2012

We make the trip to Whistler every year for downhill mountain biking, but had never been to Silver Star before. We are SO glad we came, and will definitely visit again. Great trails, not too busy, and a good time. The only downside is how small and sparse the "village" area is.

“winter at silverstar”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

the skiing was great but the lineups were crazy.there used to be a pool available to the public but for some reason it is no longer there. it is quite the village with all the brightly coloured buildings. the ice carvings were a nice surprise i think it was winter carnival time

Liked skiing. Good family mountain. Quiet at night - everynight. Lots of food choices. The cafeteria is good for breakfast & lunch.

“We keep going back”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

We have visited the mountain 6 times and have loved every visit. The snow is always reliable and well groomed. The runs are clearly marked and there is everything from easy green to double black. There are free snow tours daily. All ski gear can be rented and is of good quality. Everyone at Silverstar is helpful and friendly. Great variety of accomodation, although we prefer the Snowbird Lodge. Many other activities, such as ice skating and tubing (huge fun). Good variety of places to eat, especailly Long Johns pub. Grocery store on the mountain is handy. Must do the Sleigh Ride up the mountain to the cabin for dinner.
