“fantastic fresh seafood!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

We visited Kurt's on the recommendation of some of the staff from our dive crew and it was fabulous. the restaurant is not fancy and does not have an ocean view , but the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was great! The menu offered a great variety of fresh caught fish daily specials and regular menu options as well. The food was so good that we went back the next night for more fresh seafood and the place was so packed we could barely get in and out of the parking lot. apparently many others know about the great fresh food served here! thanks Kurt and staff

“Great Place to Eat on the East End, Reasonably Priced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

Kurt's Korner is located on Frank Sound Rd. in Old Man Bay area South of the Queen's Highway intersection and next to Water Boyz. Is a very casual, reasonably priced restaurant, with outdoor seating serving lunch and dinner. They are open 11am -10pm. We stopped for once for lunch and once for dinner and Kurt's seems to be popular with the both locals and tourists. We tried the Conch Fritters (which reminded me of a hush puppy with pieces of chopped clam), conch steak, various fresh fish and shrimp dishes. I even enjoyed the house salad (twice) with pieces of apples pecans, blue cheese and spring greens. The meals were fresh flavorful and each came with 2 sides and fry bread. There is a small bar next door and the waitress from the bar came over to serve us alcoholic beverages. I believe the total cost of ours meals for four with drinks, desert and appetizer was a little over$80 (not including tip since Kurts is one of the few places that does not automatically add gratuity to the bill).

“Good value and friendly service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

I wasn't too sure about how our dinner would turn out as the restaurant is located right behind a liquor store with limited parking. But it was very good value and the service was very friendly. The fish was all fresh and cooked well. I had the blackened wahoo and my wife had grilled snapper. Both were excellent. I wasn't as keen on the conch fritters as a starter - a little too much filling and not so much conch. But they were fritters after all. The restaurant and alcohol checks are separate, but that was not a problem. Overall this is a fun place to eat and very good value for fresh food. We'll go again next year I'm sure.
