We were at Big White with family for the holiday season and ventured to the newly established tavern for a quiet lunch.
While a short walk from the main village street, it is an easy trek and we felt like we were stepping into a Pub reminiscent of our trips to the UK.
The menu was extensive and appealing, we had trouble choosing. We finally decided to split a seafood chowder to start then shared the fish and chips and the Cobb salad. It was all freshly prepared and delicious. The standout was the chowder, one of the best we have ever had. We were even thinking if asking for the recipe!
We are already planning our next trip to try the shepherds pie.
Oh, and the service was first class too!
