Enjoyed a great range of tapas dishes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Returned with children for Smores and Sangria!

“Amazing coffee and great Tapas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

We became regulars at the Globe during our recent trip to Big White.
Their coffee is by a country mile the best on the mountain - if only it was located at a ski-in venue I would have had 5 coffees each day!
We tried their tapas menu one evening and it was really great with lots of vegetarian options.
Another afternoon treated the kids to s'mores.
All the staff were extremely friendly (and all knew my coffee order after a few days ;-)
Hope it's this great next season!

Thanks so much for your review....and so glad you love our coffee! We have been working with our supplier Caffe Umbria out of Seattle for 6 years now and we love their product and service! Look forward to serving you again on your next visit:)

“Gluten Free AWESOMENESS”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014

Hands-down worth the drive up the hill for the non-skiiers. The coffee, the food, the service and the atmosphere are all outstanding. Needing to find gluten-free options is a must for me and we were thrilled with the selections here. Locally baked gluten free breads that are beautifully crafted and well prepared alongside their adaptable dishes.
We enjoyed the dinner so much that we returned the next day for breakfast.

“Open in the 'off season'...yay for us!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

My teenage son and I visited our condo in July to organise some renos and redecoration. We stocked up in Kelowna not expecting anything to be open, but were pleasantly surprised to find that the Globe was. I could leave my son while I was furniture shopping or organising stuff in town knowing he wouldn't starve (of course, he couldn't make his own sandwich, 'cos the Globe was open, ha).

And when I came back up the hill late a few times, what a relief to be able to drop in and not cook dinner. Also when we ran out of snacks, we could restock, as they sell chocy bars and packets of chips. The food was tasty and always a generous helping (as is typical of North America) and there were some yummy inventive house specials. The iced coffee served in a very cute 'jam jar' glass was very refreshing, especially on the really warm days (around 34c in Kelowna).

Finally, a big shout out for Brad M and his friendly service; a fellow Aussie and 'Queenslander' (my son wore his Moroon jersey - those who follow 'the League' will get it). And yet another Aussie, which I didn't expect in Summer at Big White. However, there is always one....at least, haha. We Aussies love to travel.
P.S. can't wait to be back for the snow...finally, our first white Christmas!!
