Fascinating place with an extraordinary collection from a worldwide traveller in early 20th century. Probably the best National Trust House for miles around.......and a great restaurant!

An amazing collection of such an eclectic mix. So much to look at. The history of the manhis family and his collection is fascinating and well presented. The volumteers were very knowledgeable and friendly.Do not miss the gardens which are lovely. Good value.

Long way to walk to the house from the car park, especially if you do not walk well, There was a 'buggy' but was told by one person that it was under maintenance, another member of staff told me that the driver did not work at weekends.

Fun? No.
Interesting? Possibly, depending on your tastes
Quirky? Definitely, and it's for this reason alone that makes it worth a visit.

Unlike most other National Trust properties, Snowshill Manor does not conform to a particular period or style. It is not organised, it is not pristine, it cannot be pigeon-holed. It is eclectic and chaotic and all the better for it.

Admission is by timed ticket, which can seem tedious but is the only way to make the visitor attraction work with throughput. Check opening times before you set off, especially when visiting out of season.

The manor is a quirky house - dramatic from the outside but inside full of hidden gems. So much to see. Need a good half day for your visit.
