“The lack of care really spoiled the fun for us”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

We stayed for 1 night in a cabin on the lake. Great location. But for 125 CAD plus tax you'd expect the place to at least be clean. OK, so it was just after a holiday weekend but there was litter everywhere, the toilets and showers were neglected and mucky. At the waterpark area the tables were sticky and the girl we saw going into the toilets with a mop was clearly just going through the motions. There was no-one to report this to - apparently no-one in charge. You can't blame the students at the desk who are clearly not responsible. So although the kids enjoyed the waterslides and lake, all-in-all for us it was a big disappointment. And the place has such potential! With a bit of effort it could be a really nice place to stay.

Room Tip: The cabins on the lake have a great view

We camp here for the long weekend almost every year, we have noticed some upgrades however the washrooms/showers near the seasonal sites are old and all of the facilities are not cleaned often, they need to really have someone cleaning then a few times a day rather then just in the early moring before the rush. Change rooms for the waterslide areas are actually washrooms. Tent camping area is nice lots of trees for protection from the early morning sun, however the power outlet is at the far end of the lot close to the road so make sure to bring a long power cord.Beach is wonderful, sand area is clean and raked every morning, dock jumping was the best, water is clean. You can swim out to the middle of the lake and just relax as there are no power boats on the lake. Biggest issuse is there is no one on site and no emergency number to call if something happens overnight last staff leaves at 11:00PM and no one is back until about 7:00AM, we found this out after another camper decided to play their music at 2:00AM until 4:00AM

This was our second time at Logos Land. It is a close drive from our cottage and we thought it would be a nice way to spend the day. The slides are fun and the kids enjoy the thrill. Great kiddie splash area and fun, but not maintained mini-put. The lake is man-made, but spring-fed. It was warm, but quite weedy. They have water trampolines which are fun. You need to wear the provided life jackets if you don't have your own, but most of them are quite used and torn. Need to be replaced. The paddle boats are also fun, but they too need a facelift or need to be replaced. The biggest beef was with the bathrooms and change facilities. They are so dirty and so old. Considering the number of people that visit there, I'm sure they make enough profit to justify spending the money to overhaul the bathroom facilities! There is only one shower which is always cold and the change facilities is a bench in the bathroom area for all to see while you try to change discreetly. There are only four toliets which were dirty and one of them was plugged and not fixed the whole time we were there. Although the kids enjoyed the waterpark, I don't think we'll be going back. The rest of it is a big turn-off. Please update and clean, clean, clean and we will gladly give it another try!

Day park is very dirty, tables not cleaned and gummy with old food. We picked up old bottles and garbage from under picnic tables. Not very clean especially for little children. There is no swimming pool, only small shallow pool at the bottom of slides and you get booted out of them if you try and wade in them. They are for sliders only, just quick in/out. A few animals in cages but it is a very long walk to get to them with small children.

Stayed at Logos Land for one night as we were whitewater rafting and we wanted something better than a basic cabin or tenting experience. We rented a 2013 RV trailer - the trailer has two slide outs, is connected to potable water and has a direct sewer connection and a 30 AMP electricity feed so all the basics were taken care of. The units have a nice deck, decent barbeque, fantastic and strong air conditioning and great sleeping quarters. There is a queen bed, 2 bunks and a two cushion combination in the kids room and the sofa becomes a sleeper as well if you have a bigger group. The dining table sat 4 and could sit 6 if required and of course there is a picnic table on the wooden deck if you want to dine outside. The trailer was very clean inside and was in excellent shape.

The resort has it's own lake (small - about 60 acres) with water toys, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, swimming trampolines, and a swimming dock along with a sandy beach area. The water was cool and refreshing but not cold - it was also quite clean and under the right conditions would have a good run of wind and water for water sports.

The water slides are really for younger kids who have not been spoiled by the massive water park slides but they are fun for a run or two. There is no swimming pool (you use the lake). There is a restaurant on site - we did not eat there but we did get kawartha dairy ice cream there which is always good. The location was only about 20 minutes from the whitewater rafting companies so we thought the location was excellent and the camping sites and trailer and tenting sites are way back from the highway so you don't even know you the resort is on Highway 17. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: The RV trailers for rent are 2013 models - built in April, 2012 - very spacious with the two sliders...

We stayed there for 1 week each visit in the summer of 2008 and 2009. We camped in our own trailer, but there is rental accomodation available.

We bought the 1 week full water-park pass which includes access to everything: the 3 water slides, the kiddie splash area, the lake for swimming, the water trampolines, the paddle boats, the canoes, the petting zoo, and the mini-putt.

There is also a small restaurant by the entrance. The service is not so great (seems to be young teens who have no idea what is included with the meals), but the food is adequate and cheap.

This is a Christian-owned campsite, but this should not put you off if you don't like religious-themed places. The only real signs of this are their no-alcohol policy (which does prevent rowdy guests at the campground) and the chapel service on Sundays.

Everyone is very polite and there are other fun things in the area such as Storyland, and the Bonnechere caves.

There are only 3 water slides -- they are fun, but if you have teens looking for excitement, then it's not the right place, but if you have small kids or older kids who like things to be tame, then it's perfect.
