We went on this tour with my three boys who thoroughly enjoyed the day. Fascinating underground city, room after room, tunnel after tunnel, everything very clearly marked with green arrows to show us to keep going down (8 floors) and red arrows directing us to exit. Boys loved the very unusual experience. We went through some low tunnels and my son was given a middle name on this trip 'duck' as he is some 6 foot (only 14 years of age!). We had to remind him to duck and despite our constant reminders, he must have hit his head a dozen times! Great walks throughout and some unusual rocks and rooms to be seen. We came across a room which they used as a refrigerator and it was cooler than the rest of the rooms we saw, it was fascinating. It is definitely a must see attraction of Cappadocia, would highly recommend it.

Even though visitors are admitted only to a limited proportion of this underground network of caves, tunnels and ventilation shafts, it is amazing. And the implications of actually inhabiting the caves are tough to fully appreciate. Just be careful to bend very very low in places and not to think about being confined in a small space.

“Green Tour Highlights”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

Middle of January ith now all round but blue skies.
We did the Green Tour immediately after our Butterfly Balloon trip and hearty brakfast at Aydinli Cave Hotl. Picked up by local guide, enthusiastic and talented oung man named Ali.
Spent the day very active and enjoyed the Ilhara Valley walk and the don't miss sensational tour of the underground city of Derinkuyu. History and a feel for how they lived here as brilliantly told by Ali, very passionate about his home and history.
The Green Tour and ll the content was great value and experience and I recommend it to everyone, Goreme/Cappadochia is an absolute must see, and winter is excellent because it is so different to what you would expect to experience in Turkey.

“A must see in Cappadocia”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

This trip is usually included on tours leaving Goreme. It usually crowded and the entrance is controlled. Some places (sometimes long stairs) are made for just one pearson each time.

Do not go if you have any kind of claustrophobic problems.
