I was a week in villa scati last October . I will always carry with me memory of the deer, squirrels, pheasants and ducks... immersed in the wonderful autumn colors in the park. The room are comfortable and cozy. The excellent and abundant breakfast is served in a large frescoed room overlooking the park.
One of the thing I liked was the very romantic dinner in the cellars.

We stayed here one night thanks to a Smartbox. The villa is lovely and the room was clean but small.
Villa Scati is an ancient villa renovated and made into:
- Condominium
- Location for weddings
- Restaurant
- Bed and Breakfast
- Sporting club with pub
The pub is absolutely out of place!!!! For who, like us, was looking for a bit of relax far away from the hustle of the city was not tollerable to have high music and noise until 2 o clock in the night.

We visited Villa Scati out of season and although we were the only people staying there at the time (which meant that the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings), it was a very pleasant stay. It snowed while we were there and the grounds looked lovely coated in snow!

We went to quite a lot of the local towns and villages during our stay, and found that Villa Scati was well located to be able to explore the local area.

The room was nice and the staff were friendly. I would like to go back in Spring or Summer time.

What a lovely place - beautiful grounds, nicely remodeled apartments, friendly staff. We visited in November, low season, so the sports facilities were closed, but the walking path was available. Our apartment was large, clean and well furnished, with an excellently appointed kitchen. The floors are heated and the towel racks too, fluffy down comforters, big TV (40+ stations all in Italian except Letterman with subtitles), jetted tub.... I could go on, but hopefully you get the idea, which is serious comfort. They have a coin laundry - handy for longer visits. The site is close to Acqui Terme and the regions for Barbera and Dolcetto, but I would not consider it a base to visit Alba or the Barolo/Barbaresco regions. The restaurant is excellent and very fairly priced, but only open Wed through Sunday. Given the number of excellent restaurants in Acqui Terme, this is not a problem, and in any event most people rent apartments not rooms. I kept thinking that if Eloise can live at the Plaza, why can't I just live here?! Needless to say, we will be back!

We have stayed at Villa Scati on numerous occasions - not less than ten times over a few years - sometimes with our four children, sometimes just as a couple, and we have always found the owners, and the overall experience to be perfectly satisfactory.
In winter, when we just need a warm room and comfortable bed to crash, it's great. And in the summer, on those long balmy evenings, it all works perfectly too.
Probably better to find a decent restaurant locally for dinner unless you take one of their self contaned apartments and tuck into your own cooking.
Secure parking, yummy breakfast, very hospitable owners, and bella Italia - what's not to like?

I highly recommend this amazing B&B.
I went to Acqui Terme for business and this was the perfect location (only 5 mins drive form the town) to relax after a busy day.
Rooms were elegantly furnished in accordance with the local traditions, very clean and cosy.
Everything here speaks elegance and peace. I stayed in one of the 4 bedrooms located at ground floor and overlooking the park. The park itself deserves a visit, the centuries-old trees, the pond and the fountain make it the perfect location for a fairytale.
The breakfast buffet was truly remarkable: excellent location, food and drinks for any taste with a keen attention to design and details.
The restaurant called "Le Cantine del Marchese", is located in the old cellar rooms, which have been perfectly restored keeping the brick vaulted ceilings and adding a really stylish feel.
I will definitely come back, maybe in summer. I already see myself reading a book sitting on a blanket in the shadow of one of those centuries-old trees.

This place doesn't deserve the titel B&B. It's huge, crowded, breakfast terrible. The website gives a totally different impression. Stay away from this place if you are looking for a nice and friendly B&B
