We visited as part of our Pilgrim tour with a group of 50 people. About half of us wanted to be baptized/re-baptized by our pastors travelling with us. The process of changing into the provided robes (don't forget your bathing suit!) was a little chaotic, and we kept all of our belongings with us. Our group had our own area with a viewing part and the winding path into the river. It was a wonderful experience for us, with singing and scripture reading. We were able to shower and dry hair and dress in a group setting. The water was cool, and the setting was lovely. Glad I did it, and I just avoided the tourist parts of the place.
