Returned to Garlogie Inn to celebrate our son's 21st. A warm welcome received as always. The waiting staff were delightful, quick to serve but not intrusive. Excellent food and great value. Great atmosphere both in the restaurant and in the bar where the locals and the bar manager are always up for a blether!

My family and I have been eating at garlogie for years! We always get a fantastic warm welcome when we go and the kids are made to feel very welcome. We could always choose if we wish to eat in the conservatory or the main restaurant. The food is always plentiful and excellent country pub food.

If we said we were going out for a meal, our children always ALWAYS say they want to go to garlogie. We have been going on the same day also, every year just after Christmas and nothing is ever a bother for the staff. If its not in the menu, they will try their best to accommodate.

Don't change, we love it!!

Three of us went to the Garlogie Inn, having booked for lunch, and were greeted warmly by the manager. We had been able not only to book in advance but also to book a specific table. It being December, the Garlogie was offering both its standard menu and also a Christmas menu. The real bonuses, and highly commendable practices, were that (1) customers were NOT obliged to order from one menu OR the other, but could 'pick & mix' between the two, and (ii) the Christmas menu was NOT a fixed 3-course 'take it or leave it' menu, but customers were free to have one, two, or three courses.
In these financially difficult times, such a practice was much to be welcomed. Between the three of us we ordered from both menus and chose one starter, three different main courses, and one dessert, plus two coffees and two glasses of wine.
The cooking is homely, as befits the surroundings, and is served piping hot. The service was excellent: friendly, prompt, and well paced. We were looking for a leisurely meal, it being a birthday occasion, and nobody hurried us on. We were in the conservatory, where the absence of piped music was very welcome.
Our guest, whose birthday celebration it was, was delighted with the experience. "Lovely!" was her verdict. "Delicious food, and so relaxing". The bill of £50 we considered to be very good value.
So, a very positive experience. We will most certainly return.

A rural Country inn with a nice pleasant atmosphere and an excellent mine host, menu is not over complicated and service is good, being 10 miles out of the city is reflected on the prices, very reasonable and if it's home cooked food your after give it a try.

Fantastic Family run country pub and restaurant. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is always warm and cosy.
Cannot wait for the Christmas menu and the world famous sticky toffee pudding with vanilla custard. My other favourites include Pork Parmo’s, Haddock and Chips and the Rib Eye steaks with onion rings. Last week I ordered the Calf’s Kidney and Bacon on a bed of mash from the specials board. Verdict - To die for.
