An exceptional dining experience. Chef Phillipe can hold his own AND BEST any of the finest chefs in the Big Smoke. The freshest ingredients prepared with care allowing the herbs and spices to accent the flavours so that they virtually sing. He is more than a chef; he is an artist. A truly marvelous meal. Not to mention the fantastic breakfast.

Also lovely accommodations well located for a bicycle tour of the Island.

The highest recommendation for any lover of fine food!!!

A review of trip advisor's past comments helped me select the Auberge Le Canard Huppe from a list of other great choices. The past travelers described the wonderful service, the lovely rooms and most of all Phillippe, the heart and soul of the Auberge so accurately. They were so right!!!! I'm from a "foodie town" and Phillippe did not disappoint. He is such a talented chef and willingly accommodates any requests. (Ask for the duck confit-it's the best!!)

The rooms were comfortable and spotless. Phillippe and Maggie, his partner, have decorated them in the Ile de Orleans style and it is obvious they were thoughtful and faithful to island heritage.
The island itself was fascinating, lovely garden shops, boulangeries, wineries and cideries. We had a fantastic time and will be sure to return!!!!

This Auberge is a true gem ! The decoration is cozy and warm and inviting. The chef Philippe is there to greet you upon arrival and then it just gets better and better. It is a peaceful little heaven that we highly recommend.
The food is sinfully scrumptuously, delicious, yummy, buonissimo, excellent...leaves you wanting more. The waitresses were friendly and professional and my husband said to add that they`re cute.
All the choices we made for our two day stay were fabulous! Never had such delicious breakfasts. Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon (no one makes this dish like Philippe) and the next morning a waffle with maple syrup and prosciuto and melted cheese. I couldn`t phanthom the 2 ingredients of prosciuto and waffle but leave it to to Philippe, he created a truly magical dish.
The duck dish was the best that my husband ever had, he is still raving about it as I am still craving the lasagna with with salmon, scallops and shrimp and asparagus and sweet potatoes and Philippe`s special light sauce that marries all the ingredients together.
The Auberge is well located on the island of d`Orléans, north of Québec City.
We`re definitely planning to make a detour back to Auberge Canard-Huppé in the near future. We can`t stop talking about it.

Excellent food prepared by Philippe, family atmosphere. I am a vegetarian, and stayed with a group of friends, who recommended the hotel. All were more than satisfied with our meals.

I loved the Auberge Le Canard Huppé for the relaxing atmoshere and gastronomic food. My husband & I booked the "Joys of the Bacchus Island" package (we paid extra for the second nights dinner). We had never stayed in an Auberge or a Bed & Breakfast before and we're so glad that we picked this one. Our visit to Ile d'Orleans was also a first & we went to look into my ancestry. The weekend was cold and rainy, but the food & local Bacchus wine made up for it. Philip Rae, chef and Innkeeper is hospitable, along with being a very talented and creative chef. We tell everyone how much we enjoyed our stay & can't wait to go back again & again.
