If you are here for the skiing, can't imagine anything much better for the price. Rooms are basic and small but adequate for the purpose. Decoration is a little tired but everything in our room worked. Water always hot, even at busy times. Lifts could be a bit slow at meal times.
Food was excellent. Wide selection at breakfast. Choice of evening meal if you didn't like anything on the set menu. I found portions perfectly adequate (I'm a big guy who likes his food) and my wife (normal appetite) didn't completely finish a couple of meals.
Staff were really nice - all Swedish, all quite young. Smiled, made an effort to help, spoke superb English. Pleasure to be there.
Bar is comfortable and had some sort of activity each night, but realistically no one comes to Tignes Le Lac for the thumping night life!
Location - good. 2 minute walk downhill to main uplift/meeting area/ski school. Very little accommodation in this resort is closer to the lifts, some a noticeable walk away.
Ski locker fine for a couple of pairs of skis. Bring your own padlock. "Boot room" is a large store room with shelves. Perfectly adequate.
It IS a basic Hotel so don't expect to be able to get everything - if they have it, they provide it. If you want anything other than a warm, comfortable place to eat and sleep, maybe you need to pay more and go elsewhere.

Room Tip: If you pay the supplement for the South facing room you get a slightly larger room, slightly more sh...

We went as part of a large group in March and they'd chosen the Hotel as they'd been before. The Hotel is within a couple of minutes walk from the main lifts in Tignes. The staff are really welcoming and helpful. The bar has a great happy hour with a nice warming log fire to gather round.
The food throughout our week there was excellent although the portions are a little on the small side so we decided to eat out one night despite the meals being included in our package.
I kept my boots in the room as they needed to be at room temperature to get them on or off but there is a great boot room and seperate ski locker.

Some say that the rooms are small but from my 30 years skiing experience, the rooms are pretty much the norm for France/Italy. Lovely and warm and whilst space is limited the room is well laid out with plenty of storage space.

Would we stay here again - yes probably, the good food, friendly service and staff and the great location make it an ideal base to stay when visiting Tignes

Room Tip: Get the South facing rooms - they have balconies and have a little more space in them

We stayed at this hotel on January 5th for a week. Hotel is what you would expect for the price, basic but comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable, however we were on the second floor next to the stairs and above the bar. Our room was terribly noisy until about 2am, we bought some ear plugs and were able to sleep in the room at night, but it wasn't a room you could relax in sadly. The staff did offer us another room within a day or so as they were fully booked. We decided that as we were near the end of our holiday we would just stay put. That was our only complaint with the hotel. Food was fantastic, lots of breakfast options and really really good evening meals. We were surprised how good the food really was. Portion sizes were great for me, maybe on the small size for a man, but they do offer extra food if you are still hungry. The hotel was in a great location and had great views across the lake. I would stay here again just request a room not on the second floor.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the second floor or at least not by the stairs and over the bar.

We traveled on a reasonably last minute booking (via a 3rd party) on a Crystal Ski package.
We took the night ski train down and back giving a full 8 days skiing potential. We arrived at the hotel at 8am but (as to be expected) we weren't able to check in until 1pm. We were however able to store bags and take advantage of the (included) breakfast that morning!

The room was small (one of the rooms on the north side without balcony) but perfectly sufficient, clean and warm. The hotel had a bar with happy hour (2 for 1) 4pm-7pm every evening, making it very good value - perfect for early apres-ski.

The real highlight however was the food. We had evening meals and breakfast included in our package. Dinner was 3 courses and of extremely high quality. Some other reviews have suggested portion sizes were a little small but we did not find this to be the case at all. It was a fixed menu but at the start of the meal the waiting staff (who incidentally were excellent) asked whether we were happy with the offering and in all cases we were able to change a course to a vegetarian option (or sometimes something else) when required. Wine or soft drinks were also included and we took advantage of this on all nights. There was no choice in the wine (other than colour) but we found them all very palatable.

Breakfast was also good with a good selection of cereal, fruit salad, porridge, baguette and cheeses/ham and yoghurts. Bread and scrambled egg / bacon was also available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Tignes 2100 and would certainly recommend it to other people. The only complaint would be the room size but that was very typical and the excellent food, staff and location (a minute from Palafour lift) more than made up for that!

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are bigger with balcony, if they are available at a small enough premium the...

We travelled through a package with Crystal Ski and stayed 23rd-30th March 2013.
The photos on the Crystal ski and Langley website were taken from very good angles to make the place look bigger than it was but all travel companies seem to do that these days.
Holiday got off to a disastrous start with flight problem by Jet2, to cut a very long story short it took us 20 hrs to do what should`ve been a 5 hr maximum journey! We finally arrived at the hotel at 11.30 pm, we quickly unpacked and the staff offered us some home-made soup which was amazing and gave us a well needed pint even though the bar was closed by the time we got there.
Its always a but strange arriving in the dark so the next morning we were pleased to see the view from the balcony was amazing, lovely view over the frozen lake and over to Val Claret.
The reviews on here about the food were right, so much choice at breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, meats, pate, porridge, cereals, breads, fruits, nuts, juices, yoghurts, everything you could need to set you up for the day. At 8.15 am every day the staff did a little talk about the weather conditions expected for the day, temperature and what was happening in the bar that night.
The food at evening meal was brilliant as good as restaurant quality, a couple of times we asked the staff to pass on our compliments to the chef. We travelled with another couple and one of them was vegetarian, the staff always rustled something else up for her and it always looked lovely. There were free soft drinks and wine with the meal and there was never a problem for the staff to bring you more if needed. Every night the waiter would ask how you were and if you'd had a good day which was a nice touch. There was only one night we didn't fancy the menu so we popped down the road to Bagus Cafe Restaurant and had pizzas and fondue, it was really nice.
We ate at lunchtimes at Loop bar, nice burgers and chilli, Jam Bar did lovely ciabatta sandwiches and paninis, also the best hot chocolate. The pizza stand next door to Skiset do really nice pizzas, the 4 of us shared one at lunch one day, but it was as bit nippy sitting outside.
Best pubs for apres were The Marmot Arms next door to Jam Bar (the staff were crazy) €7.20 for 2 pintts of stella which was quite cheap and Loop bar as they had a band on couple of times we were there.
There was a market on a Thursday and I bought some Beaufort cheese which was really nice, they have all the samples out to try first and the staff are helpful, there were a lot of French buying cheese so I reckoned it must've been good if the locals were buying it.
We only went out a couple of nights as we were shattered so mainly drank in the hotel after our meal, the good thing was you could eat up until 9 pm so more time for apres pints before the grub. The bar was alright in the hotel, reasonably priced for a ski resort and plenty of choice they even did cocktails! We did the music quiz run by the hotel one night which was a laugh and we didn't have much trouble getting on the free wifi, the best signal was in the room behind the bar where most of the staff seemed to hang out of an evening.
Although the hotel was a bit outdated decor wise it was clean, tidy, the rooms were done every day and the heating was always on to get stuff dried if you needed to. There was a large boot room off reception were you could leave your ski or snowboard boots and your helmets and snowboard every night. They also had a ski locker for every room but snowboards didn't fit in so just left then in the boot room. The only problem was the only lift that worked seemed a bit temperamental at times and we were on the highest floor so that was a bit of a pain as some lazy people seemed to be getting it up just one floor!
All the staff seemed Swedish and were all very pleasant and friendly, the morning we left at 4am we got given a packed lunch for the journey to the airport which was another nice touch.
I'd definitely return to Tignes 2100 and definitely stay at this hotel again, although I think I'd book it independently rather than through a package. Tignes is brilliant for people who have some experience of skiing/boarding as there are loads of blue runs and a few free lifts that you don't need a pass for, this was only my second boarding holiday and the blue runs were great although quite busy.

First ever skiing holiday so read all the reviews in detail - This hotel does what it says it will do... excellent location a few minutes walk down to the lift area, basic rooms (with comfy beds most importantly!), friendly staff & excellent value for money meals. I went with my boyf & another couple, both of the blokes are big eaters and we thought the food was great (excellent variety of good quality & tasty food), no one left hungry!
Would definitely stay here again, great value for money in a great resort.

Organisation, cleanliness, bedrooms, bar and especially the food and staff were brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient for the ski slopes and ski rental shop. The bar played great music and the open fire and views from the terrace were an added bonus! There was a separate boot and ski room and a quieter area to play cards and go on the wifi (although this wasn't particularly fast). Very easy to get to Val Claret and Val D'isere. We would definitely come back here again. The only real down sides were the rooms were very hot, although we did just open the window, and there was not always enough carbohydrates with the food (which was excellently cooked and extremely well presented), especially after a hard days skiing.

Room Tip: We had adjoining rooms that were facing towards le lac which had great views and were quiet.
