“Cosy place for lunch”
Reviewed March 9, 2012

Great place for lunch - especially if you do not want to eat those omnipresent 'Savoyard' specialities. We had fish and a delicious vegetarian 'Mille-feuille'. A bit pricey - we paid 73 euros for two. Main dish, dessert, wine and coffee. Recommended!

“Two Fantastic Meals, one at Lunch, one in the Evening - Lovely and Friendly”
Reviewed February 28, 2011

Our Children had a meal (literally thrownin as part of their Ski Lessons) at a near by Restaurant to the Bagus, but that one didn't look so good so we had a Lunch time meal here and it was great. I had the Curried Chicken Salad, it was superb. The staff were so pleasent we decided to return one evening.

That was also a delightful experience, we had a huge group >35 and we may have been a little raucous in the end but the food, service, wine and all round friendliness was a real delight. Highly recommended

“Best pizza in town!”
Reviewed March 8, 2010

We ate here twice on our recent trip to Tignes. The pizzas were recommended to us by our snowboarding instructor. It did not disappoint! The pizzas are really, really good. Very light and tasty. We also had the hot stone meal on another night which was also good but using the same cutlery for raw and cooked foods was a bit worrying! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and was always busy. We did hear of another big group complaining of being overcharged.

“Busy - Tasty - Different - and we survived!”
Reviewed February 23, 2010

Blimey! There were no reviews of this place before my week in Tignes (Feb 2010) and although I'd seen it on previous visits, only went here at the suggestion of our Hotelier when at a loose end, and with 4 kids to feed. Have to say, we all loved it - nice to see Tagines and Curries available, along with some fish dishes. These were all really nice, Desserts were excellent, and even the wine was the best bottle I had all week. Sat opposite the kitchen and marvelled at the calm intensity of the guys within, who were doing an absolutely roaring trade with delicious looking takaway pizzas whilst also catering to a very busy restaurant. Service was slightly hit-and-miss, but the girls were very pleasant and good with our kids. I joked about needing a beer when we walked in and it was on the table with a knowing smile before I had even sat down - but like the previous reviewer, we were also initially incorrectly billed. Would hate to think people might give this place a miss due to food poisoning fears; sure it must have been a one-off, since they seemed pretty clean and professional to me - and we must have been there within a day or two of the other unfortunate reviewer. Oh, PS it's also accessible from the main road out from Lac to Claret, Rue de la Poste - just above the Bagus BAR
