We started as a party of 12 which became 13 including a 3 & 4 year old for who early food was provided before bed. The central position of the chalet is great. So convenient for lifts, shops and other activities. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, flexible and pleasant even with faddy eaters. Great views from the friendly bar. Great food, plentiful wine. Loved it so much that members of our party are ready to book now for next year.

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony have great views.

Stayed here last week and had a great time, mainly due to the fantastic attitude of the Esprit/Ski Total staff. The chalet is a little on the tired side, and the towels are as thin as tea towels but the food was good and, again, the staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating that all the negative points didn't really matter in the end.

This was all the more special as they were 1 week away from the end of the season and therefore must be exhausted, sick of the sight of screeching children and their tipsy apres-ski parents!

I'm not sure I would have been able to keep up such good service at the end of a very busy 4 or 5 months!

I stayed with in a group of 20 at the beginning of March and was very impressed with this Chalet Hotel - it really did have a 'chalet' feel to it. Our room (3) had a wonderful view out onto the slopes. The food was great and the wine plentiful and the staff were high quality, professional, friendly and very helpful. Boot room had plenty of room. The bar at the top of the hotel again looked out onto the slopes and was very comfortable and conducive to chilling out after a days skiing.
I highly recommend Chalet Rosset as a great location and place to stay for a great ski trip!

Room Tip: Worth paying the small supplement for a balcony room for the view and if you are likely to spend a b...

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of February and the chalet made for a great holiday. It was located close to the slopes and le lac is in the middle of the 3 resorts so if you get a full lift pass you can almost ski a different set of slopes everyday! The rooms werent the biggest but comfortable and enough for what we needed the only downside was we had the room opposite the bar and this could be a bit noisy at times!
The highlight of the whole experience though was the staff and the food. We were really looked after all week by the team and the food was of the highest quality for a chalet like this. Hearty size breakfast's, afternoon tea of fresh soup cakes etc! Then in the evening canape's followed by a 3 course meal with unlimited wine and a cheese board.
This was great value for what we paid and although this was maybe because it was new to Ski total this season, it would be one i would highly recommend for all!

Room Tip: Dont stay on the top floor if possible

A group of us stayed at Chalet Rosset in February and we were seriously impressed ! After booking last minute the chalet, service and food completely apressed our expectations and we all had such an amazing week.

The chalet is in a great location in Tignes Le Lac , less then 5 mins to the slopes and the Maison de tignes. Handy for getting to and from the slopes, and all the bars, restaurants, bus stop, supermarket etc were never more then a 5-10min walk away.

Inside the Chalet itself, the rooms are of adequate size some with balconies with amazing views ( would recommend these) all had great bathrooms, and the rooms were cleaned daily. The beds were also really comfy! The dinner/breakfast area has a lovely chalet feel and your tables are set up depending on your party size. If you make friends through out the week however, you can request to then sit together at dinner and they put tables together for you. On the top floor is a gorgeous lounge area with a bar, full of lovely comfy sofas to collapse in after a long days skiing, the view is great too. Although this is a larger chalet, it didnt feel like it at all and still had a really nice chalet/alpine atmosphere that you get from smaller chalets.

The food in the chalet was again outstanding and for the money incredible value. Breakfast consisted of a large continental spread with cereals, fruit, yogurts, pain au chocolat, croissant, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, bread etc. One of the chalet staff would then come round and take your hot breakfast order which consisted of the ususal, eggs, bacon sausage, black pudding, pancakes etc. All were fantastic and really set you up for a day on the slopes. ADVICE: to order hot breakfast as soon as you sit down.

Afternoon Tea would be set out in the upstairs lounge area when you got back in from skiing! This consisted of a different soup every day, plenty of french bread, Cookies and cakes- which were always readily welcomed after a long day!

Dinner was normally at least 4 courses every night with unlimited wine!! Canapes would be served in the lounge/bar area upstairs before moving down to the dining room for dinner. There was always a choice of what you had for dinner and you were given a menu at breakfast to choose. Examples of the food included for starter; Goats Cheese Salad, Linguini, Sundried tomato Risotto, Crab cakes and then for main; Duck, Venision, Pork Tenderloin and puddings like: chocolate brownie, souffle, apple pie, blueberry tart! All in all the food was amazing and always presented to restaurant standard. A cheese board then followed, accompanied later by tea and coffee!!!

The staff in the chalet were also a delight, always so friendly and helpful with any requests or questions we had! They were a real asset to the Chalet, especially Izzy, Savannah and Mark. They were all so friendly and easy to get on with as well as being professional at the same time.

We had the most amazing holiday and would definitely return to Chalet Rosset!!

Room Tip: Balcony rooms are bigger and have a great view

Stayed here for a week in February and was extremely impressed.
The chalet has comfortable rooms although not on the large size.
What really makes this place stand out is the food and the staff.
Evening meals consist of canapés, aperitif then 3 course meal and unlimited wine. As if this was not enough each night this was followed by a cheese course which you can take up to the bar to snack while drinking some more!
During the evenings Dave the barman tries to put on games which get everyone involved, all very funny after the wine.
The staff in the chalet are all young but were a credit to the company as the service they provide is mature and spot on.

The chalet is located just 25m from the slopes which make it great in the morning. I would note that to ski back you need to get a slow lift to where you start in the morning or you need to ski a tight black which would be challenging for beginners and intermediates depending on the snow.

Tignes is a great resort and I would recommend getting the full lift pass as val d'isere has some great runs.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet Rosset. Big thanks to all the staff who work so hard to make sure you have a good holiday.

Tina, Michelle and the team really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, are very professional and all in all excellent hosts.

The food was some of the best we've had on ski trips. Because it's a chalet hotel you get a bit of choice each day including scallops, venison, duck, lamb, goats cheese salad - there really was something for everyone. I was particularly impressed that they were so happy to accommodate different cooking preferences if asked (I didn't want cream in my profiteroles). The presentation was excellent - felt like a fancy restaurant every night.

The chalet is very convenient for the slopes and really near Loop bar for après ski.

The boot room had boot warmers which was a nice touch.

Room was a bit on the small side but very clean and probably one of the best bathrooms we've had skiing in France - basic but pretty new and a good shower. Some of the rooms have lovely balconies with fab views.
I would definitely recommend Chalet Rosset to couples and groups - we had a really good crowd and enjoyed the chatting over dinner.

Ski Total was pretty similar to other companies e.g. The quality of the holiday really depends on who is working in the chalet that year. However, our flight was very delayed and Ski Total rearranged transfers and Tina and the gang still had a meal ready for us on arrival, which was really needed!

Tignes itself has some tricky runs but mostly ok for intermediates and very good for advanced skiers.

Great holiday and would definitely recommend.

Thanks
