A group of us stayed with Chill Alp for a week in tignes while we were mountain biking there. For the price we paid to stay here we weren't expecting much as it was a bargain... but in actual fact it was the better than any chalet / hosted accommodation any of us have ever had! The rooms were great, clean and tidy. The food was AMAZING! These guys could easily be chefs at a high end restaurant. The facilities were second to none - jacuzzi, sauna, bike storage and washing, cosy tv room and games snug.
Kev and Charlie (and rusty the dog) are two of the warmest people you will meet who cannot do enough for you and are a hell of a good laugh too! If you fancy going biking to France, go to Tignes and go and stay with these guys as anything else will be a lesser experience.
Oh and value for money... you won't beat it.
We stayed at Chill Alp Retreats for a fortnight in July to spend time training on and off the glacier as part of our summer training as the GB Parasnowboard Team. Kev, Charlie and Rusty were outstanding hosts and we agreed that the food was the best we've ever had whilst in the mountains, down to eggs for breakfast every day and afternoon cakes. This was a perfect base for road biking, mountain biking, snowboarding on the glacier and enjoying all of the summer activities Tignes has to offer (there are a lot and the chalet is in prime position for accessing these). The hot tub was an added treat - perfect way to relax and have some fun at the end of a day.
The pool and gym facilities in Tignes are first class and we couldn't have asked for a better fortnight of training. This was the absolute perfect set up. Big thanks to Charlie and Kev, we'll definitely be back!

Chill alp put on the best week of mtb we've had, and our group have been to morzine many times. The food is clearly the highlight - these guys can really cook!
The riding in tignes is good, somewhat less variety than morzine but the trails are in much better condition and there is more vertical to be had. We managed 50% more this year than we did in morzine last year. Not only that, but you can do loads of other activities in resort (many of which are free/included).
We'll be booking again next year for sure.
