This was our second stay in Buqa and having learnt the area last time this stay was even better than the last! Great accommodation with an ideal position near the village and a ski bus stop a short 5 min walk away. Gilu was excellent helping out in any situation and was there if we had any issues with the house. Faultless again! Looking forward to coming back!
Buqa is a lovely place to stay - has everything you need.
Technology is obviously on the mind of the owner as you have everything you need to keep in touch with reality. If you want to get away from it all though - turn off the wifi :-)
We were very lucky to have a great snow fall whilst staying at buqa. Made the resort look fantastic and the scenery in the mountains looks brilliant. You are quite a distance from the slopes but a 5 min walk down the hill to the free bus stop is fine. You can always park near the main lifts if you have a car. There is also a secure garage at buqa for your equipment with boot warmers and racks.
Supermarket is a 2min drive or 20min walk and everything you need is provided for self catering although refreshments and some small snacks would be a good idea when arriving at the chalet. We didn't see much of the chalet host but we didn't really need him either.
Some small issues that we were not too bothered about, shower could have been cleaner and some of the boot warmers didn't seem to work but all in all the chalet is luxurious and a great place to stay if you don't want to use a hotel.
The log burner and under floor heating is the best part when its really cold outside too.
If you want a stylish place to relax after a day's skiing, this is it!
There's a TV and Bluetooth sound system in all the bedrooms and in the lounge - with at least 200 films stored and British TV. There's a large wood-burning stove as the centre point of the lounge, not that you need it as there's underfloor heating.
And there's a Jacuzzi-bath!
It's also only a 5 minute walk down to Samoens - where there's great restaurants and bars, though the hill is quite steep so it can be slippery. Wear good shoes and bring snowchains if you're driving!
But all in all an excellent apartment/chalet - highly recommended.
Fantastic location.
I went to cycle (road bike) and had my pick of numerous Tour de France routes within easy distance.
The village beautiful, people friendly and everything (shops etc) easily accessible.
The apartment is fantastic: balcony with great views, plenty of space and the jacuzzi bath is a God send after a long bike ride!!
Definitely going back for more cycling and a trip in the Winter to see the place covered in snow.
Had a fab two weeks at Buqa, would highly recommend. Beautiful area and have come home fully rested. Would love to go back!

We stayed at Buqa for two weeks and loved every moment. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and every bit as good as the photos suggest. Spread over three floors, the apartment would more than comfortably accommodate a party of eight, without anyone having to sleep on the sofa in the lounge!
We loved the view from the terrace and balcony, looking down over Samoens, and sat and watched the spectacular sunset most evenings. Having access to a garage was great for bike storage (and repairs) and the entertainment facilities offered were appreciated and far exceeded expectations.
Communication with Elan before we arrived was easy, friendly and straight forward and Gilles was the perfect host in resort, for whom absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The service provided also included offering a midstay linen and towel change - which, when staying somewhere for two weeks, should be standard, but rarely is, and was therefore much appreciated.

We had an excellent stay at BUQA! We’ve just got back.
It is fully equipped and it has plenty of space; and a fab balcony that overlooks the town and the mountains. Samoens was a pleasant surprise to us; having never been before. We hired downhill bikes and went on the Grand Massif Express to the top. Having a washing machine enabled us to clean our biking gear for the next day’s use and after a day of pedalling the Jacuzzi bath was heaven! There was a lot of entertainment going on in the centre when we were there so being able to walk into town was convenient. We would definitely stay again at BUQA, Elan made it very easy to book and Gilles was available to assist us at the property if we needed anything.
